I'm not sure if anyone has recommended "Black Dynamite" yet, but it is HILARIOUS. I've watched it at least 5 times in the past couple weeks; every time someone comes over I sit them down and have them watch it.

I picked up the fist LP along with the free 10" record. I have yet to hear these guys but I'm definitely looking forward to getting this in the mail.

He still has "The Ultimate Sin" available for $4. He's listed as theinkd here on VC.

I just bought that Tiltwheel/Oval split today for 3 bucks. You may want to reconsider the pricing on that one. I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to help out.

This looks pretty mean. I'm having a hard time shelling out the 14.00 PPD for a 5" record (and the 2 screen prints) but I can feel my will weakening the more I look at this killer layout.

^ I thought the same thing when I got that email. I don't think the incentives were the issue; the 6,000 budget was the problem.

I picked one up from Interpunk. There only looks to be 100 (of this variant) pressed and I don't want to miss out.

This thread has taken a fantastic turn. I like gift cards in lieu of some other, shittier presents. We do a Secret Santa thing at my office and I will usually pick out a gift card for whomever I get in the lottery and tailor it to their personality. So someone will get an eBay gift card, or a Bath and Body Work gift card, whatever, so it shows that the gift is somewhat personalized but at the same time, they get to pick out what they want and get to enjoy a little shopping for free. However, I will without fail, get a goddamn bottle of nondescript, re-gifted wine every year. I HATE getting re-gifted wine because it shows absolutely no thought whatsoever. In my opinion, re-gifted wine is the ultimate DGAF present. That being said, I will always drink the wine and enjoy it since it didn't cost me anything and gets me buzzed.

I'm bummed that I missed out on the pre-order. I'll have to track this down in March/April.

Damn, for some reason I thought this said Thrall/Demonsweatlive. Yeah, this album sucked pretty hard in my opinion. I JUST got the new record in and I am loving the shit out of that thing. A true return to form for Glen and it is most excellent.

Frank Sinatra's "Jolly Christmas" and Elvis' "Elvis Sings Christmas Songs" are seasonal must-haves for me.

I agree completely. I can't wrap my head around seeing a record collection as an investment. I have a connection to the music and the bands that I have collected over the years that goes beyond monetary value. I just don't see my collection as something to be sold, I see it as something to be enjoyed and appreciated.

Having multiple copies of the same record doesn't do much for me. That being said, I try my best to get the most limited version of each record I buy so I'm probably as guilty as the guy that buys 25 versions of Reinventing Axl Rose. No matter how rare the record is, I always play the shit out of them and enjoy them for what they are.
