Nothing really posted about this one yet, and I added it in a post about one of their last albums from a few years back, but maybe it's better here:
I just discovered Plebeian Grandstand have a new album and bought a copy immediately after listening to just a couple tracks --year end material here!

Whoa, seems like some sleepers in here on this one! Just discovered they have a new album and bought a copy immediately after listening to just a couple tracks. This is a craaaazy album, and definitely one I'll be considering for my year end list....

• Anyone ever get a lead on a US pre-order for Gas' Der Lange Marsch? Or am I really gonna' cough up $45 PPD on Kompact's bandcamp?
It's been a while since I last attempted, but I think it might be cheaper for shipping via the kompakt site than bandcamp too... However, this will surely come with time I expect, as all his other releases always turn up pretty widely.

whoa. year-end list creep... keeps getting earlier and earlier.

Oof that sucks. I feel you, I had it in February of 2019 and it was awful. Luckily I'm triple vaccinated now lmao
covid was only invented at the end of 2019?

Just pointing out that the ferocious new one by Frontierer is out as of yesterday and there are still some vinyl copies left, but the shipping is just about as wild as the album...

This album is serious insanity. -
New single kinda reminds me of the Sharon Van Etten cover out earlier this year. Really slowing down their tempos...

I was going to grab the Converge exclusive then I saw the shipping to Canada and died. (Kingsroad shipping to Canada is brutal... )
I opted for Chelsea's variant. Much "cheaper" shipping and the mock up is gorgeous!
I'm stoked for this. I'm also stoked to forget I ordered this down the road and then it ships next year!
haha, i opted for converge (+ a shirt) after seeing the deathwish shipping to me.

Fuck. The DW one sold out as I was checking out.
There's still the converge exclusive...

note that the 500 - Clear / Navy Cloudy (Revolver Exclusive) is also the BrooklynVegan variant...

comes with a $50 poster!

sounds kinda interesting though... Last 'live' album that intrigued me similarly was .clipping.'s from last year.

FYI. I've gotten two emails from Relapse to update that the new Wolves In The Throne Room is delayed. The 2xLP is looking towards sometime in September and the Box Sets for mid-October.
For the past year, I've only ordered records with the assumption they'll arrive delayed...

You’re really going to die on this stupid, stupid hill aren’t you?
honestly, i've died on way stupider... but i gave a much more specific opinion previously:

I would obviously expect clearer production than that with Deafheaven, but I don't understand why they didn't retain some of the metal aspects they were known for... If there were a few blastbeats and a few more shrieks now and again would've made some more memorable moments on these lead tracks. For example, Dillinger Escape Plan would make a rock song, but they'd incorporate some technical elements into it to maintain their sound. This is just a different band even if exaggerating the more mellow parts from their past.

i just like the term cybergrind.

I know I've listened to them before but nothing caught my ear.

Yeah, I would hope you wouldn't recommend that Dreamhouse sounds similar to In Blur, hahahaha.
You're only 2 for 20 since I'm only familiar with two of the bands. If you are actually saying that these bands sound like In Blur then I'll check them out, but it seems like you're just trying to be cleveryou should be familiar with slowdive too though, yea? one of the all-time legends in the genre...

This may be a tad early still, but publications are already posting them, so I'm curious about everyone's year end lists for best albums in 2021 (to be sure I haven't missed one for mine, lol~~).
