  1. Not coming my way but I got to see Slow Crush with Grivo recently. Sure hope TS comes my way soon.
  2. Apparently a new Tennis System “Mini LP” is coming on Record Store Day.
  3. A new Tennis System mini-LP & Denzel Curry’s cover of Bulls On Parade. Oh hell yes.
  4. Dude. I’m with wisdom on this one. Think you’re more mad than you should be lol. In fact everything they said sounds like everything most of us say here! It’s pretty clear who they are talking about (& for the record, it’s all The Life & Times dude & Mario is pretty much just saying “yeah yeah”. First off, the guy from Life & Times is CLEARLY an “older” guy. It should be zero surprise at all what he says. And their music was definitely an odd choice for Post Fest imo. Also, he’s clearly singling out only SOME of the bands. He compliments Mario for “having vocals” so I think you can remove Circus Trees & Holy Fawn from the venting. I’m sure he was speaking about Ranges, Wander, PFS, I/O, End of the Ocean & Driving Slow Motion. Those are the instrumental bands that can all be lumped into the more “basic post-rock”. While I think End of the Ocean is top tier live, I’ll never consider them “ground-breaking”. And I personally loved Driving Slow Motion but definitely don’t take offense if someone says they are “cliche”. And the 78:00 venting is just about “bands being too serious”. Nothing malicious there at all. I know you’re the resident Ranges & PFS fanboi 😉 but I really think it wasn’t a mud slinging vent sesh here. Just an older dude sounding like EXACTLY how I’d expect & commenting on how cookie cutter those bands sound. And his buddy Mario casually agreeing with his points. I’d hug ya & say “Everything will be ok” if I could haha ❤️
  5. I’ve been very back & forth on the closer. Instrumentally it’s fantastic. But the vocals just don’t seem to sync up at times. Especially in the beginning. And the “Sha...dohhhh remains” at the end bothers me lol.
  6. I know lots of people dig Cloakroom & I feel like I SHOULD be into them but they don’t do it for me 🤷‍♂️
  7. Figures Cleveland gets the worst opener. SOM fuggin ruled at Post Fest. May also make the trip to Columbus to see them. And wouldn’t mind seeing Maserati. Cloakroom seemingly has opened for Russian Circles or Nothing every time I’ve seen either & do nothing for me.
  8. Waiting Room was TOO ambient 😆. There’s a thin line for me between ambient I like & ambient I don’t. Bands like Of the Vine & Be Water are perfect examples of what I love. Yeah if you dig PFS it doesn’t surprise me to like Wander. And vice versa! Anyways, you may dig this new Unconditional Arms song. It actually has the PFS upbeat tempo but finishes with the crushing UA sound I love.
  9. Breaking up the ITTCT collection finally. Mostly to pay for expensive vet bills. Message me with offers/interest. Using Discogs to gauge price. Not looking for top prices but not looking to give away either. -If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky (1st pressing, translucent mint green, /300) -If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky (1st pressing, white w/ black haze, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky (2nd pressing, opaque aqua blue, /300) -If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky (2nd pressing, swamp splatter, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - Above the Earth, Below the Sky (2nd pressing, translucent forest green, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (1st pressing, Bone w/ oxblood mix, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (1st pressing, highlighter yellow w/ neon green swirl, /200) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (1st pressing, Ultra clear with blood red swirl, /200) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (2nd pressing, Bone & Bronze Mix, /200) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (2nd pressing, Milky Clear w/ Swamp Green Swirl, /200) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (3rd pressing, band variant, clear w/ black & red splatter, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (3rd pressing, clear/black mix, /150) -If These Trees Could Talk - Red Forest (3rd pressing, red w/ white haze, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T & Above the Earth, Below the Sky deluxe set (2xLP, orange/blue, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T & Above the Earth, Below the Sky deluxe set (2xLP, TEST PRESS, #'d 43/50) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T (1st pressing, black, /250) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T (1st pressing, Clear/Orange Haze, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T (2nd pressing, half orange/half black, /300) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T (2nd pressing, orange w/ black splatter, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - S/T (2nd pressing, orange, /100) -If These Trees Could Talk - The Bones of a Dying World (1st pressing, 2xLP, grey, etched D-side, /300) -If These Trees Could Talk - The Bones of a Dying World (1st pressing, 2xLP, white/black marble, etched D-side, /200) -If These Trees Could Talk - The Bones of a Dying World (1st pressing, EU copy, 2xLP, black, etched D-side) -If These Trees Could Talk - The Bones of a Dying World (1st pressing, NA copy, 2xLP, black, etched D-Side)
  10. Lol I don’t hate them. I’ve just tried for 4 albums to get into them & like pretty much 2 songs from Dreamer, of which they never expanded on (Mourner & Day Bringer), & that’s it. Had they went the more ambient/post-rock mix route of those 2 songs I’d like them more. I’m not into the upbeat poppy jams that go nowhere. There are never any exciting builds, or riffs, or payoffs for me.
  11. Been waiting for new Mumrunner for years. Dig the new track.
  12. Any interest in various posters I have? Trying to clear out a bunch of stuff but don’t wanna just throw them out. Was thinking $4 flat fee to ship on top of no more than $1-$5 per poster, or cheaper if you buy multiples. Before wasting my time with pics, here’s an idea of what I have... -Many Murder By Death posters (older shows, autographed Bitter Drink release poster, first Kentucky cave show) -Charlie Wagers posters (Gifts From Enola farewell show, Appleseed Cast Mare Vitalis anniversary tour, Jakob Sines jacket, + more) -random AFI poster -2005 Derek Hess Warped Tour
  13. Who knows. All they do is post stupid tree photos every couple months on IG & literally every time people reply with “NeW aLbUm????!!!11” even though they’ve done that for like 5 years lol
  14. I’m finally breaking up the ITTCT collection. Keeping a copy of everything but unloading as much as I can. Not looking to give stuff away but willing to bundle if anyone is interested. Hit me up. Giving you first dibs but will probably get on Discogs this week too.
  15. Yeah gotta admit he killed it here. Maybe he should stick with post-rock/shoegaze.
  16. Yeah it’s funny because I totally was that dweeb (not to the point I was thinking I didn’t like it, I was just missing the beefiness) & then that came on and knocked me on my ass. Also, they played Ishmael at the orchestra show & I loved it then, but think I love it even more here. They crushed it, especially the ending.
  17. I dunno what it is with “SMW first singles” that I never like that much right away, but that holds true here again. Good news I always end up loving that song later so we’ll see.
