I started playing hockey when I was 4 or 5 and haven't given it up (26 years old). I played on two teams this summer, and I coach two teams officially and chip in help with another. I played soccer when I was 4 but did not like it at all. I coach lacrosse, but never played it. I played baseball until I was 14 when I decided I hated it, but now I really regret quitting because I was far better at baseball than I ever was at hockey and I'm pretty good at hockey. I play slow pitch softball whenever I can fit it in, but it's not very often. I played football until after my freshman year. Wasn't quite good enough to be a role player so I figured it wasn't worth it. I've dabbled in rugby but I don't have health insurance so I'm afraid of actually playing.

Coach AND teach. It just gives me more ammo for child-death-wishing.I am around kids that aren't mine every day. I teach. I coach two hockey teams. I coach a lacrosse team (or two if you count Var/JV separately). I coach youth track (with like 200 kids in the program... it's mayhem!). I work with kids in the projects during the summer. I work at the ice rink and run clinics and tryouts. That gives me ~800 touches with kids to wish death upon in a calendar year.

I wish death on kids all the time. That's frowned upon?

I have an absurd amount of gay friends and it's just fascinating to me. I've gone to gay bars and it is awesome having people buy drinks for me like I'm a hot girl. It's funny when they are convinced they can turn me gay, just like guys think they can turn lesbians straight. But I'm pretty open and comfortable with all that stuff. Most people get creeped out when they're hit on by people they have (at best) no interest in.

1 - S&P SPECIFICALLY said that it was downgraded because of House Republicans holding the debt ceiling hostage. 2 - This is a dumb controversy, but while the final lock was thrown on the door in 2009 under Obama, the gears got rolling under Bush and Obama didn't say he'd keep it open no matter what, he said he'd do whatever he could to try to keep it and others like that one open. "The private sector is fine" or whatever that quote probably wasn't the best, but it had added jobs consistently and the only reason the jobs report ever got negative numbers was because of public sector cuts. 4 - Yes, both Ryan and Obama have the same exact cuts to Medicare. I'm watching Fox for some reason right now and Ann Coulter just called college kids infants and said we should raise the voting age.

No, I'm too lazy to get vaccines. I just really like viruses that are related to herpes. Had chicken pox pretty bad when I was 8, then had shingles when I was 21, then had a small outbreak last year, then got a good patch growing on the inside of my knee. It sucks, especially because the solution is valitrex, a herpes med.

Eh, 9 and 7 shots does seem a bit too high to my lack of training, but I dunno. It's not dramatically high, though. The three direct-shots that others took are unfortunate, but it's a busy area as far as I understand. The others are just flukes, because 10 or 16 bullets hit the target, correct? But yea, that training is why when there's a huge stand-off and all of a sudden the guy in all the policemen's crosshairs does something dramatic he gets lit up by 200 bullets - they're all going off their training that if they're firing, they're doing it 100% to ensure the target goes down.

How many officers were there? I legitimately don't know.Police (and military, etc) are trained that if they are going to shoot, they are shooting to kill. I don't know how uniform training is, but they're often trained to fire at least a 3-round burst if they are going to fire so that if the first shot misses, they have a second and third chance because as an officer, they are only firing when they absolutely need to (in theory). If they only fire once and miss, it could be catastrophic for someone else.

+ Won bar league championship last night in hockey. - Guy on my team got scummed late in the game, guy wound up baseball style and cracked him in the knee, then piled on his back. I came over and did by best to come over and stick him as hard as I could in the ribs, then pulled him off by his facemask, making sure to give a little twist. I don't understand people who go around trying to hurt people in bar league hockey. We're all paying money to play for fun and these guys take it way too seriously.. if you go check the "recent picture" thread you'll see how I got my own shot. People are dirtbags. + Got new gloves today. - They're a little tighter than my current gloves, but oh well, I'l get used to them

What do you guys think about 4 preseason games? They're boring, players get injured, and do the coaches really need 4 games to figure out who is good? There should be two preseason games.

Yea, it's looking like a lockout. The last I read before the weekend, they were supposed to meet for 2 hours and talked for 10 minutes.

I PO'ed. If something badass comes along, I'll cancel the PO or sell it to a friend. If not, I've got a copy I don't have to worry about later. That said, it better be good. It's been a while since I loved and Co&Ca album.

Just to clear things up, prep is a different course. It could be anything as subtle as regular global 9 compared to global 9 honors, or it could be Economics, Participation in Government, Psychology as three different classes (and preps / lesson plans each day). We get 2 planning periods no matter what, which might also be called preps by some people.

Oh, that's how people around here seem to do bachelor parties, so that's why I'm confused. It's not just for the wedding party, but any guy who either is invited or hear's about it or stumbles across the right location and pays to get in.
