  1. This was already posted on the Ebay craziness thread but I thought it deserved its own thread. What the hell is up with this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Title-Fight-Floral-Green-Record-Release-39-150-OOP-/251171927531?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D2972278842357896412%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D251171927531%26
  2. What do you mean by "reliable"? Are you worried they're going to steal your money? As salpanza says, they've been around forever, nothing to worry about.
  3. This pre-order seriously reads as though it was written for the Onion.
  4. One of these went for almost $400 couple of weeks ago so maybe that's what motivated him.
  5. I know a lot of people are looking for this but probably won't be thrilled by the idea of giving Virgil their money. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GASLIGHT-ANTHEM-senor-and-queen-double-7-white-vinyl-SHR-100-OOP-/320991904599?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D2432927303346664466%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D320991904599%26
  6. Honest question from someone who doesn't use instagram: Isn't it just easier to use this board to buy and sell records -- especially if the people whose participation you're courting are already VC members?
  7. It wouldn't be the first time http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?pagenum=1&searchtext=nofx+the+decline&incldescr=&sortord=dprice&thumbs=&currsel=
  8. Cool. Remember the Lookout! records catalogue/poster that they used to send out with orders? In the mid-nineties, they had a Downfall record listed as "coming soon" but it never came out. That always bummed me out.
  9. They'll always have a special place in my heart since they played the first punk show I ever attended in 1994 with Bad Religion and the Supersuckers. I was hooked right away. Soar and Billy are just amazing records.

  12. The last couple of these on ebay before this one actually sold for ~$300 and ~$400 respectively. Still a crazy price though.
  13. Right so when they fuck up packaging someone else's records it all evens out. I get it!!!
  14. Tix are on stubhub for tonight's show for less than face.
  15. You really showed the original poster. What a dummy. Next time he'll think twice about asking these types of questions.
  16. Subject says it all: http://www.chunksaah...products_id=176 Johnny X and The Conspiracy: "Johnny X and The Conspiracy" $13.00 JOHNNY X & THE CONSPIRACY were a band from New Brunswick, NJ in the mid-90s that featured members of STICKS & STONES and LIFETIME, collaborated with THE BOUNCING SOULS, released a 7" on Creep and another 7" on BYO/Chunksaah, recorded a full-length and then vanished. We are excited our friends at Psychic Volt were able to unearth this criminally ignored gem for the first time, 15 years after being recorded. Limited to 250 copies on BLACK VINYL and includes a Digital Download Card of the entire album. TRACK LISTING: A1 Three A2 Under a New Hat A3 Delivered Vacant A4 Suspicion A5 Milk A6 Ruin A7 Discreet Mathematics B1 Invincible B2 St. Jude's Day B3 Black Cloud B4 Single Bullet Theory B5 Comparing Notes B6 4th Street 4 a.m.
  17. Exactly. Kind of like pledging $100 to PBS for the tote bag. You do it to support the cause not because the tote bag is worth $100.
  18. To raise some dough after being robbed, the Souls will be putting up items on ebay all week. http://www.ebay.com/...5&_trksid=p3686 "Thank you everyone for all of your support after our robbery in Allentown a couple weeks ago. It was a pretty huge blow to our world and we are currently working on digging ourselves out of this ditch. We were inspired to help ourselves through the generosity and spirit of our friends Chuck Ragan, Man Overboard, and Mark Beemer and SSE/Shirts For A Cure. Their commitment to our family gave us the most hope when we were the most down. So we rummaged through our storage and personal collections and are parting with these treasures in order to keep our ship afloat. We will adding more as the week goes by. We're gonna play no matter what they say (or do)! -The Bouncing Souls"
  19. So anyone who is a Souls fan knows that they got robbed pretty bad last week. Chuck Ragan is auctioning a guitar on ebay right now and donating all the proceeds to the Souls. That got me thinking. Would anyone be interested in raising a few bucks to help these guys out? I figure every little bit helps and for all the joy they've given me over the years, I'd be more than happy to kick in some dough to help them out. In the age of kickstarter and paypal, there's got to be an easy way to do this while ensuring that every cent goes to the band. So would anyone else be interested in exploring this? I realize that the economy is rough right now and that money is tight and that there are much greater tragedies than a punk band from Jersey getting robbed. So no one needs to respond to remind me of this. But if you're interested in trying to help out the Souls let me know.
  20. The latest from Banquet: the UK / Euro version of this LP is EXACTLY the same as the US one. It appears Universal in the UK have ordered 500 of the American LPs for Europe and then divided them up accordingly once landed in the UK. Any UK indie's saying this is a UK press are probably misguided. The Greenhell Euro press IS its own press tho. I am confused about the part about Greenhell though since folks who've received it have said it's the same as the US press.
  21. I assume then that referring to the "UK version" is a misnomer. If there's no difference (including the matrix) doesn't that mean that these are just US copies sent to the UK? EDIT: Banquet just confirmed as follows: "our stock arrived today, they are the US LPs imported by the UK label, rather than a Euro pressing as we were told they would be."
