  1. I completely missed this cause I didn't have the funds. Anyone have an extra they want to sell me for cost. This is the last fall out boy record I will ever have to buy...pretty stoked about that
  2. A Tree Grows In Brooklyn...Its an oldie but a goodie, The acting in that movie is on a level that I haven't seen in ages and the father is one of the most tragic characters... The Last Picture Show...."He was sweepin' ya sons a bitches!!"... I'm a mess after that... SLC Punk - When Heroin Bob dies...obviously Capote - When Perry and Dick are executed, Philip Seymour Hoffman's reaction just kills me... There are more, but those are the big ones...
  3. Got my $50 package today, the splatter sounds/looks great, shirt is rad, coozy is awesome and the poster that I got is signed but Dan signed it as A. West which I thought was really fucking cool This is an amazing album...I hope it gets the attention and love it deserves Also, big thanks to cryprvs for hooking me up with that print. Can't wait to hang it up...Buy his stuff cause it rules!!
  4. apparently there is a black variant on cold cuts too http://www.coldcutsmerch.com/products/the-wonder-years-the-greatest-generation-lp
  5. Since we are getting close to a release date I'm going to throw this out there... I got all of the variants except for the clear with grey haze...If anyone on here listens to this album and isn't a fan or doesn't care about variants could you please sell the clear to me for cost...It would really mean a lot to me This is still my favorite band and I want to keep up with my collection....thanks guys
  6. Motherfuckers that say "hot mess" I don't know where that phrase came from but I want it dead...
  7. I'm going to snag one too...I don't really have a way to listen to it but Im sure I will someday and this was such a great fucking tour...It will be so much fun to listen to this in a few years and be like yeah...I saw those guys on that tour...
  8. Have these shipped yet? I keep forgetting about it..
  9. Best Concert: The Wonder Years @ The Shot Shot in Zanesville Ohio...It was about two months after The Upsides came out and TWY were doing a few shows before they went onto a larger tour with Set Your Goals. Adam (VC name: KeepDoubting) and I got there early and had to use the bathroom which was on the other side of the stage. I stumbled upon Soupy sitting behind an amp and talked to him for a little bit. He told me not to buy Get Stoked On It! One of the opening bands was We Are The Union who put on a fucking great show and then The Wonder Years just destroyed the place. They had to stop after every song to get people to move off of the shitty plywood stage they were playing on. Also this was the time when Mike Kennedy went back to college so Nick was drumming for them instead of playing guitar. The highlight for me was holding Soupys leg when he crowd surfed to All My Friends Are In Bar Bands. Interesting side note...I got kicked in the face and had the lens knocked out of my glasses...the last time I ever wore my glasses to a show. Favorite Album: Besides all of my The Wonder Years records (because I feel like that would be a cop out) I would have to say is probably my original pressing of Blink 182's Cheshire Cat. I was a huge Blink 182 fan back in the day and I pined over an original press of this album for years, even before I really got into collecting just because I thought it was such cool album art. It was also one of my first purchases on Dead Format and the guy that sold it to me (ozfactor) was really an awesome dude. That album really connects me to my childhood and I think it is pretty cool to own such an integral pop-punk record in its original form... First Record: Kind of a two parter. The first record I ever bought in 7th grade was Blink-182's They Came To Conquer Uranus which turned out to be a misprint and had the are of that record but contained the music of the Lemmings split...I was pretty pissed about it at the time because I loved the song Zulu and couldn't listen to it...The next record I bought wasn't till years later when I got Manchester Orchestra's Mean Everything To Nothing from FYE for 9 bucks. That kind of started my addiction and I haven't stopped collecting ever since.
  10. wow...I really want to grab this...what a great band name
  11. "I'm not racist but..." I find that older people say this a lot...
  12. I'll try to later today...Its basically a single LP, no gatefold or insert and the lyrics are printed on the back over a picture of the band. Its really pricey for what you get...but if you have the extra money I think it would be worth it...
  13. got this in the mail today... cant wait to spend more time with it...I feel like its a grower The packaging is incredible and the vinyl is heavy as fuck...
  14. ...well fuck.... That is the last time I trust Soupy with variants and numbers....haha Looks like I'll be needing a clear with grey haze...
  15. I hope so...I would hate to be missing just that one thing from my TWY collection...that would drive me nuts...
  16. Don't have any cash till Friday...Hopefully that Banquet variant sticks around till then or I will be super bummed...
