Been to one of their concerts last year where they played mostly new songs. After listening to the live recordings of the concert again, I'm very confident that this will be a much better album again than Octahedron.

Ostinato - Chasing the form Do Make Say Think - Winter Hymn Country Hymn Secret Hymn And So I Watch You From Afar - Gangs Vessels - Helioscope throw in a few Mogwai tracks and that's enough instrumental post-rock for me for a lifetime. Don't get me wrong, I love each of the albums mentioned above and there are more bands that would deserve my attention (I've certainly checked out a lot of the mentioned bands in this thread), but this genre is just ... I don't know... maybe I just don't have the attention span...

"detailed" bass. oh ... my ... god, I joined the vinyl umm... bandwagon errr.. bubble ... quite late and just yesterday thought about "Melon Collie...". I was shocked when I saw on popsike what people pay for it. Hope the whole package will live up to how important this album is. Best rerelease announcement since qotsa - dto. Gosh, I feel old.

Just got the newsletter from german mailorder Flight13. Waaaaait a moment...colored? No one mentioned that before. I suddenly have a dejavu. The color variants for the last "trail of dead" album were also announced so late that I ended up buying buying it twice. I gonna hold my horses now until I know exactly what's gonna be available.

"Thank you for you order" Regarding how limited the special ed will be. I think the limitation goes as far as they receive preorders. But maybe they have a upper limit, who knows. It just strikes me as funny how the release dates for the regular edition and the special edition differ. Regular: March, 28th Special: May, 9th My guess is the the regular ed is going to the press now and for the special ed they take preorders for a month and produce as many as was ordered. Also yay, for not having a CD only special edition.

Ffffffffffffffff...... aaargh, first time ever I regret not having a facebook account (and still won't succumb). Could have ordered the green/magenta one, ordered the purple one from greenhell already. The album is rad by the way. Been listening the last couple days to the mp3s of the no fades version that I've got from the "swedish swashbucklers digital public online library". The nofades stuff is actually damn good, kinda makes me sad that the vinyl has fade-ins/-outs (haven't listened to that yet though).

The album is out and apparently there is a 1000 limited colored version of it. See pictures below. Not mine, but from a german forum. Only mailorder I've seen the limited version so far is greenhell.de anyone know if there are other sources? Is the violet version Europe only?

Does anybody know if this hack was true or not? Robotic Empire said they were going to honour orders affected by the hack and were hoping people would dispute the payment with Paypal as Paypal were not any help to Robotic empire! I've been emailing Robotic about this, but if they were hacked, how would I know if I'm mailing the hacker or not??? I've been successful with my dispute and want to give Robotic their money, but I have this nagging doubt that it could be some elaborate double scam!!! I've not received the records yet either! Robotic Empire care to comment!?!? Robotic doesn't want to comment here on this issue, at least that's what they told me when I asked them when they notified me about this. It is understandable because this is a serious issue for a mailorder/webstore and potentially a huge loss of reputation. I was one of them who were affected by the hacker but I've received my order already last week despite everything that happened and even before I got the money back from PayPal. Kudos to them for communicating this issue immediately to everyone who was affected, including instructions how to dispute and get the money back from Paypal. They've been very straightforward about this issue, but yeah, I understand that it is not good PR and they prefer to deal with it with their customers directly. I have also disputed and got the money back from Paypal and then forwarded it directly to Robotic. I hope everyone does that because it's their money and they deserve some support for being an awesome distro.

Europe reporting, just received my Brine today from Robotic. Funny to receive it actually before people living a few thousand miles closer to the source than me (on top of that: using regular USPS shipping). Anyone else ordering from Robotic Empire received a CD as well? No sleeve, no packaging, just lying in the package between the vinyl sleeves. According to the etching it is release Robo086, which I looked up is Oceanic Remixes II. Nice suprise, but without any packaging it looked more like an accident than an extra.

More infos: The D-side will be etched. Niiice... The 2CD Media book version comes with a 2nd CD where all songs are played in one go, while the regular CD has fade-ins/outs in the beginning and end of every track. I do not know if there will be fading between tracks on the vinyl version, but it sounds potentially annoying. Well, I won't judge before I've heard the album.

It is going to be released as Gatefold 2LP on February 7 and seems to be up for preorder at every mailorders and Amazons, HMVs and whatnot. http://www.superballmusic.com/release.aspx?IdRelease=1196 The first full album release on vinyl since "Worlds Apart".
