I use AIM at work all day.... people sitting right next to me will IM me instead of just talking... it's like stepping into a time warp every morning i thought this only happened at my office. good to know it's not just the south.

you post on a vinyl messageboard but aren't willing to drive 20 minutes for a few of the best record stores in the state (if not the country)? all day fucking rules, cd alley is the SHIT if you're patient and like digging, and the new record store IN THE GROOVE is supposed to be GREAT (carrying all of sorry state distro!). not to mention you're only a few hours from charlotte and lunchbox records, or a few hours south of richmond. seriously folks, it's fucking UNBELIEVABLE to me that in 2012 there are still people into "punk" that think it's awesome to shop at hot topic. travis, I hope the place you work at is as soul sucking as it seems, and I hope they go out of business. I hope you're kidding. Why would you care about Hot Topic carrying records if you can just go to Bull City, CD Alley, or All Day Records? because i live literally 5 minutes from the mall, and 20+ from any of those. i get to bull city and schoolkids as often i can. calm yourself.

its times like these i remember how much i love the city of richmond. i have 4 record shops all 2 miles or less from my house. (steady sounds, deep groove, vinyl conflict, and plan 9) the first three exclusive to only vinyl records. internet high five for lucking out with record shops close by! Bull City Records in Durham, NC is my saving grace.

i think i need to start watching that next season. i keep missing good bits of info, like the stuff with Michonne. i haven't read the comics so i'm kinda in the dark.

OP chose wisely. @steviex2shoes, how realistic is it for you to put away some money so that your wife could look for another job? i mean at the very least that'd improve you guys' quality of life a bit. can't imagine the stress that comes from those kinda hours.

Well, carbon is stiffer and less resonant than aluminum, so the upgraded Debut Carbon should be an improvement over the regular debut. Of course, without ever hearing both of them back-to-back, it's tough to say for sure. If it were me and I had the money, I'd probably go for it. After all, tonearms are an important part of the turntable's sound. As for the OM 10 vs the 2M Red, there's probably not a huge difference. The Red is probably slightly more detailed. Looks like you could upgrade that one with the 2M Blue stylus if you wanted to, but not with the 2M Bronze or Black. The OM 10 is upgradable as well, and you have more options. There's the 20, 30 and finally the 40. The only real way to decide it to listen to both, but if you're not able to do that, I'd go with the OM 10 for now. Who knows - if you're not familiar with Ortofon's signature sound, you might not even like it, in which case the cheaper option is preferable. And as I mentioned, if you do like it, there are a few stylus upgrades. thank you so much!

i won a copy of Dashboard Confessional - Swiss Army Romance on ebay ...got it today and the kid shipped it in a bubble mailer. the sleeve is destroyed, huge creases all over it. send the kid a message asking for a partial refund.

been thinking about upgrading for a while, and while looking up the pro-ject debut III, i saw the announcement for the pro-ject debut carbon: http://www.project-audio.com/main.php?prod=debutcarbon&cat=turntables〈=en thoughts? how much of a difference would there be if i went with the OM 10 cartridge instead of the 2m? $400 is reeeeally how far i could go at the moment with my finances the way they are.
