  1. Hi guys and gals, There are a lot of great people who contribute to this board and I'm very thankful to be a part of it. I realized I was being a negative asshole here for a long time, acting like an internet keyboard warrior, and surely pissed a lot of people off while acting a fool. This is an open apology for acting like an asshole. This board has helped me snag some really good deals / grab PO's that I would not have known about otherwise, and I'm forever grateful for it. Moving forward, my goal has been to be a solid contributing and positive member while staying away / out of the drama. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, Festivus, or whatever you may celebrate, and a happy New Year. I look forward to 2016 full of awesome releases and opportunities to discover new music. -Mark
  2. I'm sorry you feel that way. I was merely pointing out a need and proposing you take action and fill that need. It seems like it could be a very profitable endeavor, but I guess it's not a challenge you're up for. Very understandable, and I hope you have better experiences with UPS in the future.
  3. Since you live in the US and it's known as the land of opportunity, you should start a worldwide package delivery service that's better and more profitable than UPS.
  4. I carted one up today, but at 800 Euro shipped to the states, I couldn't do it. Plus the whole "must pay w/ bank transfer" deal seems pretty sketch to me. Who knows, I'm sure everything will be fine, but there's still that chance the dude could pull the plug and disappear w/ a lot of money.
  5. I keep forgetting about this record until this thread gets bumped. I'm pretty sure I'll never listen to this record once it arrives because I'm so far beyond this record being out, I just don't care about it any more.
  6. Ha, thanks dude. I think I did the same when I opened both boxes. While they weren't cheap, I did get them lower than the average price along w/ free shipping from Germany. I could resist, plus I've never seen copies in such amazing shape.
  7. Agreed. I look forward to the DC shows every year. I think the winter one is better, but the summer show is usually less attended and easier to get solid deals. As it gets closer, if you guys are going we should meet up at the show and grab a beer.
  8. I just got these in this week, it was 2 orders from a guy on Discogs in Germany. Can't believe I was able to score all of these at good prices w/ free shipping. All original pressings in NM condition. I wish I had off today so I could crank them loud!
  9. Not sure where else to post this so I'll throw it here. How do you update the title of a post you created?
  10. This is the e-mail I got this morning. If anyone is interested in being a dealer at the show e-mail Kevin Coombe at [email protected] to get your name in the raffle to get a table. I won't be selling at this one, but definitely look forward to hitting it up! Here we go again!! We're happy to announce that the Winter 2016 edition of the DC Record Fair will be back in downtown DC at Penn Social. The Flyer is attached, and a larger poster image is available on request. For those of you who haven't been there before, this location has many advantages: -Located only a few blocks from the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station -Loading Elevator to move records right to the bottom floor -Built in bar with drinks, and other refreshments -Well lit spaces both downstairs, and upstairs (where the main door is located) -Sound system and visuals for DJs and entertainment As in previous shows, there are a limited number of dealer spots, (42), and we are implementing the same lottery to determine who gets a table. Here's how it works: 1- Reply to this email only if you would like to secure a table at the Fair. We will need to get those responses by Tuesday, December 15th. 2- Those of you who respond will have your name entered in the lottery the following day, December 16th. 3- If you didn't get a table in the last show, please mention this in your email. We'll pick a few names from that hat first. 4- An email will be sent by end of day, December 16th, to inform those who are picked that they have a table. 5- If you do not receive an email, don't fret. The next show will be coming up sooner than you think! 11. The box set is on Popmarket today. With the HOLIDAY10 code it comes out to $315 shipped. Not bad, but still more than I want to spend on it.
  12. I just listed to his Black Sabbath cover of NIB on YouTube from this record. Holy shit, it's terrible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6HksDP8XX8
  13. One of my favorite local bands. ORDERED! Does anyone else think it's pretty weak that the /200 variant is $4 more than the /500 silver?
  14. I have quite a few BOB pressings / reissues and am happy with all of them. I just snagged a copy of Anthems on Amazon for $16.60 shipped. Stoked about that since I only have the picture disc version.
  15. I think this would be cool, but you can buy the Back on Black re-issues for $30 or less, so the idea behind dropping $1,000 on a box set is a little lost on me. I'm sure it will look super awesome, but this one isn't for me.
  16. People who are successful and have a life beyond records.
