  1. It was re-issued by Music On Vinyl in 2013, you can still find it available online.
  2. The Impossibles Anthology and Return were released on vinyl in Japan via Time Bomb records. Edna's Goldfish Before You Knew Better was released on vinyl in Germany, which is why I was disappointed it was in the project and not elements of transition. :\ Jeffries Fan Club NEEDS to be done, but Flood is an east coast guy...I think we should leave the west coast ska to people who were in the west coast scene. Outside of SL everything has been east coast ska.
  3. So I remember reading early on that the guys in the band were writing music and it was ska, ska/rock like their early sound. They even talked about how weird it was doing demos and using keyboards for the horn parts. I've been following this for a long time cause they were my favorite band in 1996-2000. I loved Beacon Street, Tragic Kingdom and S/T. HOWEVER, after Gwen came in, it seemed it went more towards a pop/Rock Steady kinda sound...and once the major label and producers came in, I think all the ska influences were dropped completely. One track they've been hyping up was a colab with Major Lazer...and that is not gonna be early ND sound...that will be like Rocksteady part two. So I've lost hope on this album. Maybe I'll be surprised since my expectations are so low now??
  4. So here is the deal. Make a claim with paypal, and make sure you file the claim as a BOOTLEG, explain in the notes it was a bootleg and the buyer did not tell you up front. Bootleg/Pirates of ANYTHING are not for sale through paypal. If you file the claim with paypal, you will win (or should). I had someone sell me a fake bootleg demo tape and tried to pass it off as the real deal. I won the claim and DID NOT have to send the item back. (Even though I sent it back anyways).
  5. THIS. I ordered an LP from them on Amazon, I got a CD.
  6. I'm more stoked for John Henry....shit is rad!!! I will no doubt pick this up as well. Ska is my favorite genre, and the stuff you are releasing would never see vinyl if not for your releases; so a million thanks!!! BUT.... Glad to see branching out of ska as well, and doing so with RAD releases.
  7. I found it at the suggestion of someone who was a friend at the time. Who now spends time trolling me and others on the internet.
  8. Edna's Goldfish - Before You Knew Better was released on vinyl in Germany, I have a copy. Although it is hard to come by in the USA. I am super excited for that Pietasters album, it's my favorite album by them. I would like to see some love for the west coast ska though. Bands like Jeffries Fan Club, Hippos, Early Aquabats etc. I know it also has to do with if the album is owned by a Major or not and stuff like RBF and Save Ferris is on a major.
  9. I don't know if it will help anyone, but you can save searches on ebay, and set it to email notifications. I have purchased a few things this way.
  10. http://www.ebay.com/sch/vinylrama2010/m.html?_trkparms=65%253A10%257C66%253A4%257C39%253A1&rt=nc&_dmd=1&_ipg=200&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_sop=1&_sc=1 TONS of Rare stuff listed. Some new rare deadstock LPs, and a small amount of current new LPS I use new cardboard LP mailers I put the LPs in plastic sleeves Sorry, I do NOT use cardboard inserts (I can tape the plastic sleeve against the cardboard mailer)
  11. yes, I go with the suggestion of 100 pack for $50 on ebay if you are looking to resell records.
  12. It still goes for $100 or so depending on the color, but even the black goes for $80-$100. They just don't come up hardly at all.
  13. From what I understand there is also german black and pink pressings, or are those bootlegs?
  14. Odd. When I asked him at Asian Man Fest, he said he WAS going to put it (adults) out on his own record label sometime next year.
  15. This release is 100% a bootleg, it is not legit at all. A lot of San Fran record stores carry bootlegs, there is obviously a bootleg distributor somewhere in that area. FORGET IT!!! Thrillhouse has a ton of rad punk records, a lot of bootlegs if you're into that as well. However I have been there 7 times (between my two trips to San Fran), and all 7 times were within their open hours, and they were only open twice out of the 7 times. They are the most punk record store I have ever visited. Apparently they are non profit, and don't care about money at all...or care to let anyone in their store, I won't waste my time while I'm in SF to take a bus to go to a closed store again. forget it.
  16. I want this so bad but my wallet is not big enough like many people. I really do think these are WAY over priced. But hey Johnny needs money cause he can't do anything worth listening to anymore and Morrissey is milking his solo career for overpriced re-issues, so I know he's ok with this as well.
  17. Went on this once when I was in LA last weekend...we had chewie on our video...however I am still upset about a couple things like other old school pass holders... NO PAUL RUBENS!?!?! NO CHICK WITH CRAZY HAIR telling you what to do/not do!? (although the "glitch" to start the spanish was awesome)
  18. I will someday get a spin clean...please post your personal opinion of how well it works...I know there is probably threads on it, I will read those as well before buying or not.
  19. Not my picture....my copy is in the United States, and I'm in Tokyo right now. BOSSTONES - LAST DEAD MOUSE 7" (PROMO ONLY) Also not my pic...the LP is in the USA.
  20. I've done this...With My Drums S/T LP...the LP the record label sent me was in a envelope and the cover was fucked, but i didn't care cause my other cover was fine...however the LP they sent me had the SAME defects! As for Amoeba I don't like them that much. The used CD prices are usually pretty high, and I don't like being treated like a criminal. I feel so dirty every time I go there. I can't be trusted not to shoplift, and my purchases have to be walked to the door. If you think its the best record store, you need to come to Tokyo and spend a week or two here. Also in the LA area I checked out Sound Station Records and I really liked it. The prices seemed pretty good (at least on new punk LPs), and the dudes that run the place were super nice and could talk to you about music. Of course the selection was not as big as Amoeba, but its worth checking out if you go to LAX...its super close to the airport.
  21. HOLY CRAP!!! I never thought about that. I live in Phoenix, AZ when I'm in the USA, and half my records live in Phoenix, AZ. I never worried about the heat cause our house has central air...but getting stuff sent to my parents house in the summer will worry me now! CRAP!!!
  22. Do any of your records have plastic sleeves? If so, are those covers fine? I would first try getting plastic sleeves for all your covers...all my records are stored in plastic sleeves, its a custom I learned from living and collecting vinyl in Japan. Some stores give them free with each used (or new) record you buy.
  23. I had Electric Six "Flashy" in my cart, took it out to re-calculate something and when I tried to add it again, it was "sold out"....BOOOOO!!! Flobots - Fight With Tools Double Vinyl LP Mustard Plug - Big Daddy Multitude Colored Vinyl LP Mustard Plug Yellow No. 5 Vinyl LP Spring Heeled Jack - Static World View Vinyl LP Serj Tankian - Elect The Dead Double Vinyl LP + CD Serj Tankian - Imperfect Harmonies Vinyl LP + CD Amanda Palmer - Who Killed Amanda Palmer? Vinyl LP + MP3s Gwar - Bloody Pit Of Horror Vinyl LP also applied the $10 off, thank you for that code!!!
  24. Actually you're not. I lost a case where customer didn't pay for insurance and item was damaged by Post Office. In the end, they never took the money from me because the customer didn't return the item (probably a scam as usual)...but ebay said THE SELLER is responsible if USPS damages a package. I had a fight with ebay and they told me that you are not allowed to charge for SERVICES like insurance, you can only charge shipping costs and they cap them for records/cds. Also ebay now takes your fees from shipping charges as well, meaning they still cap the $4 shipping and now take some of that $4 from you. They also sent out a message about delivery confirmation your packages or you are not protected. Who pays the $0.80? You do, from the $4 that they take fees from. Oh and the cardboard mailer? You pay for that from the $4 as well. Are we following the math, am I to assume we can ship records in the USA media mail anywhere for $1.80 (liberal estimate, $1 mailer, $0.80 confirmation, $0.40 to ebay FEE on shipping costs).
  25. I have fond memories of seeing them at tiny venues in Orange County while I was super young. Their demo tape, those damn bandits...fun times, fun times. Halfway was fun too, progress was interesting...and then they got weird...it always puzzled me and put me off that every time they put out a new album they acted like it was the most amazing thing they ever did and refused to play all their songs prior because they had "matured"...it always seemed elitist and annoyed me.
