Got my yellow/red Anthem from importcds last week, no matches :)

Also still waiting on the "limited transparent blue vinyl LP pressing" B-sides from them (should be here in a week) and still don't exactly know which color this is, as it's not mentioned on smartpunk's site/haven't seen a photo of a clear blue copy anywhere.

It's solid blue. I've seen the transparent blue listed at a few different general retailers, but it's not. I think it's being called sky blue per the hype sticker. I'd ordered that from pop market I think. Can't remember now.

I’ve taken the last month off of selling via discogs because I knew it was going to be crazy shipping

I did ship out 6 boxes of Christmas gifts on 12/14 via priority Mail. Two made it within 4 days. Two were delivered after Christmas. One finally popped up and should be delivered this week. And one was last seen in Indianapolis on 12/18 with nothing on the tracking after that.

I have a crap-ton of records I want to sell but I’m holding off for another couple of weeks.

Same, I didn't want to deal with any shipping nonsense so I just took everything offline for the holidays.

Do they not all have matches?! (the matches are inside the gatefold) I've only opened the one copy that I played.

As far as I know, the gatefold versions have matches, the non-gatefold versions (the orange anthem, and the half and half color anthem) do not have matches. Though I wouldn't be too surprised if there are gatefolds missing matches.

Got my /300 Anthem today from smartpunk

*Spoilers for those who wanna be surprised *

comes with a 12x12 screen print of the cover, matchbook, and is numbered by a gold foil stamp on the backcover.

The gold foil part applies to every copy of that particular variant (color in color blob, ended up being around 900 for that one if I remember right). And then the art print applies to the "first 300". Not 100% on whether that's the first 300 orders period, or first 300 of each variant. There's also a couple extra things SP mentioned for people that bought the big bundles.

Like I said, 2 weeks - not a big deal, almost expected, but some other labels are at 5 months now. The preorders went up in the middle of the pandemic. You don't get to use "we're in the middle of a pandemic" as an excuse for a 5 month delay when you already knew we were in a pandemic when you took people's money.

If you put up a preorder in February/March and then had to wait for the records to come from another continent by boat I get it. If you put up a preorder in May you should have already known that was going to happen.

That's kinda my point though. It's not like labels are pulling dates out of thin air. Even in the middle of a pandemic the plants are going to be giving labels a timeline that the label is then going to make a decision on. The label can't help if the plants are wildly off on their estimate or get even more behind than when preorders go up. I'd say even more so now that countries have started shutting down again and putting restrictions back in place.

Not complaining about a release being 2 weeks late, but I don't think you get to use the "we're in a global pandemic" excuse when you put up a pre-order in the middle of said pandemic.

Eh,  it's not like they're getting dates from the pressing plant and saying, nah, I'm gonna tell people it's a month earlier than what the plants are saying for the preorder. If a label says hey, it's a  preorder, expected ship date is x, I imagine that's bc the plant says that's when they EXPECT to have it done. Shit happens. Plants are taking longer,  and I'm sure are telling every label on the planet they'll get it when they get to it.  Nearly every record I've ordered this year has been delayed.

  7. To be fair, this is the same band that has 30+ different versions of a split 7" with a Japanese band.  So complaining that a band that has always put out different variants of releases, and are collectors themselves, is putting out too many variants is odd. If people are willing to buy them, cool, have at it. It's not like this was unexpected. The alt cover variants is something PN has done with I believe every release they've been involved with. Sound the Alarm was no different.

  8. So looks like Rude Records are celebrating their 20th anniversary with some limited  items including records they've put out over the years.

Less Than Jake's Greetings and Salutations is on Silver vinyl limited to 20. Can't imagine they're ONLY pressing 20 of these without a reissue coming as well.

    Edit:

Monday - Less Than Jake's Greetings and Salutations on silver /20

Tuesday - Stand Atlantic's Sidewinder on silver /20

Wednesday - Modern Error - Lost In the Noise on silver /20

Thursday - Blood. Youth - Beyond Repair on silver /20

    Friday -

    Saturday -

    Sunday -
