repost: Vinyl Remastering Due to the renewed interest in vinyl LPs Dischord Records is remastering and recutting much of our vinyl catalog here in the United States. We will begin by re-pressing current titles, and later re-issuing others, all re-cut at Chicago Mastering Service and featuring complimentary MP3 album downloads. I stopped playing the originals shortly thereafter. On a related note, since I'm still new to Chicago, I can still get a stupid grin every time I walk by

Have the non Basement Screams reissues had a substantially different/better sound from the remastering? Just wondering if I REALLY need to pick up a set of these.
