  1. right... yeah, that doesn't surprise me.  in my original post, i specifically said that i don't care if it ends up being on black.  I'm not a nut for colored vinyl.  It's cool and all, but it's not do or die for me.  i wonder if there's actually people that will refuse to get an album on black if they weren't able to get a colored copy.

I actually meant any color at half the original price. The original price was something like $35, so down to $30 isn't much of a savings. Especially because I could have bought the purple for $35 when I saw it.

I'm not arguing that this TOTD is a lot of money, but I have been looking for sooo long that it is still completely worth it for me. Now, let's just hope the sound is good.

  2. My advice to anyone thinking of dealing with this company is DON'T DO IT. You are rolling the dice. You might get lucky and you might not. These fuckers are trying to keep the money for jerseys they apparently don't have in stock, but took payment and yet they list them in stock on their site. I should have went with my instincts and not ordered. Do not order from 2009jerseys.net.

  3. 1) What is your favorite Converge album? All We Love We Leave Behind

    2) What is your favorite Converge song? "Dark Horse" You would think I would pick something off of AWLWLB, but this song just makes me go kookoobananas. I also play it sometimes in my classroom. Converge + 3rd graders = mayhem!

    3) What is your favorite Converge album cover? Jane Doe, of course!

    4) What is your best memory seeing Converge live? I've only seen them once and I was really tired that night (seems to happen more and more as years go by). With Bannon running all around the stage it was like a mainline of adrenaline and I was very close to getting in the pit. Frickin' amazing show is an understatement.

  4. Lexicon, I stand corrected.

I just hope you get your record soon!

Eh...it depends. Once you get past Too Much Blood, that b-side is amazing. It is a couple of steps up from American Slang.

I mean, they were never going to be mainstream, but what I am saying is that they will not be a band that will be celebrating 20 years together or anything (a la The Souls). They've sped up their demise. And by they, I mean Brian and their management. I still firmly believe that the other dudes don't have big heads based on brief encounters I've had.

I feel the like big lights are just within their grasp. I'm not a Gaslight expert at all, but their records all pretty much have the same sound. I feel like they need to branch out and experiment and maybe even make a record that many of us would say, "This isn't a TGA record!" From that they could grow and strengthen their sound. Get Brian on the phone and let me talk to him.

  5. No reason to be a dick. Not really fair to take a piss on someone who doesn't have anything to do with the problem that we're all up in arms about.

The management group is now working on rectifying the situation, but didn't cause it.

When some rep from Infinite Merch starts posting on the boards, by all means let them have it.

Never got anything from em... Never heard from Infinite Merch... Never heard from that GLA manager chick that posted for 3 days...

    Bunch of bullshit.

    :o

FIRST BASE 's/t' debut LP/CD (HZR-141) with FREE Download
Wait, is this a new band? We've positioned this incredible debut LP along with our Archival series batch for good reason, as FIRST BASE are one of the purest bands you're likely to come across, a true pop milestone so authentic and airtight, you'll swear you've heard these chords before. Originally one of the 'mystery bands on MySpace" from the mid-2000's, FIRST BASE released a string of much loved singles & EPs but kept a low profile despite being an active performing band in their hometown of Toronto, but it wasn't their intent to be anonymous. If you'll recall, they gained a wider appreciation after Personal & the Pizzas covered their iconic "Nobody Makes My Girl Cry But Me" which pushed them further onto the underground pop radar, and they returned the favor by covering " I Don't Feel So Happy Now" on their last EP. But affiliations aside, FIRST BASE are going to leave a deep scar on your world, and they'll be dumping sugar and syrup deep in those wounds with every repeated listen of this incredible pop debut. Like Jesus & Mary Chain fronting the Ramones, covering Joey Levine, FIRST BASE are pure honey-dripping salvation from the sadistic world we're trapped inside, a true ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day, just try to not melt away. -VictimofTime.com

  7. My bad. I was just following the protocol that I see on here all the time. I would have wanted to know the pre-order was live if I hadn't checked my e-mail.

I DEFINITELY appreciate you posting about this and don't think it's in bad form AT ALL. I am subscribed to the email list, but didn't get this one. You are the reason why I have my colored Nobunny. Thank you! I also like the way Goner handled this one.
