Exclusive to the webshop, we didn’t get approval for the print until it was too late to include it to the copies we shipped to stores. -

Thanks! The Beachy Head album is one of my favorite releases we’ve put out in the last few years and this variant of it is the best. -

I run our distribution company. The Jakob records are so good but took forever to sell. I’ll chat with Ryan about it. For awhile a decade ago, he was doing archival presses and it’s something I’d like to bring back. It was a great idea then and that hasn’t changed. -

It’ll be on Graveface.com by RSD 4/20. We’re waiting on approval to do a shirt/screen print for those who want it. It’s a great variant. I’ll post here before I put it up. EDIT: date changed. Their label asked us to wait until then to put it out. If you want you local shop to carry it, have them get in to contact with us and I can get them copies. -

Graveface has an exclusive variant of this album going up this week to ship next week. The cover ink is red and the vinyl is, I believe, an opaque red inside of clear red. I only have one pic of the vinyl and haven’t put my hands on the copies that came in last week. It’s limited to 500 and will be $26.99. -
Rotting Pinata is going to be available in stores Friday from MOV. 1500 copies on red and black marbled vinyl. https://www.musiconvinyl.com/news/new-mov-titles-in-stores-march-8?fbclid=IwAR2kmhWFLLerUCYvGPkdJtkFvNxXDW0ToIhT_bEhau7n6h9UgK0kwDzUoCM_aem_AZhWiuI8mNIQxEMiWrKqZDlbhgMxWHT6BdKM2bP19h567jRuv6cHUoW0uo2g-OA8ETw

My red out of 500 arrived today and this is a gorgeous record. The matte finish and spot gloss on the jacket are top notch and the etching is also wonderful. Glad I grabbed one. -

Did anyone order a UK variant? I want to see pics of that bad boy. I’m happy with how the US variant turned out. I haven’t spun it against my OG copy to see if it sounds any different. -
Graveface Records put out the debut album “Home in the Desert” by Precocious Neophyte today. It’s really good. https://graveface.com/products/precocious-neophyte-home-in-the-desert-lp https://precociousneophyte.bandcamp.com/album/home-in-the-desert-2?label=722537935

A new Van Halen box set, The Collection II, has been announced and will arrive on October 6th via Rhino. Following the 2015 set, The Collection, which housed the band’s first six albums with David Lee Roth, The Collection II will cull the four Van Halen albums featuring singer Sammy Hagar in addition to several studio rarities and a B-side. Affectionately known as the “Van Hagar” years, Eddie Van Halen and company released four successful LPs while fronted by the Red Rocker during the ’80s and ’90s: 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (1991), and Balance (1995). The Collection II will compile these records together for the first time on vinyl ($124.98) and CD ($49.98). A fifth disc, titled Studio Rarities 1989-2004, is especially of note for hardcore Van Halen enthusiasts. Among these eight tracks is “Crossing Over,” the B-Side to Balance’s “Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” (the band’s only non-album B-side) and the Twister soundtrack inclusion “Humans Being,” which can be streamed now in its newly remastered form. Unfortunately, a long-reported lost song from the Twister soundtrack sessions, reportedly titled “Between Us Two,” is not included, despite Hagar previously hinting that it might see the light of day as part of the Hagar-era reissues. These prices are mind numbing. I would buy that gold nugget but $75 is too much. I’ve been building a new site for the labels I work for and I was doing pricing for the shipping and media is almost as expensive as the new USPS mailing options. You include the cost of a mailer, we use the good whiplash mailers that cost $1.25 or $1.50 each, the cost of paying someone $20 a hour to ship stuff, and that $8 media mail is on the money. The world is changing guys and I’m preordering less online and buying more in a shop. It’s cheaper and the social activity is good for me.

I work for two record labels and I see the cost of pressing records. Realistically, they’re spending $50-$60 per copy (maybe a little more if it’s in a nice box and not a quad gatefold). I can’t remember how much they charged for the 3xLP live box set with Roth, but I think that it was similar and this one is actually good. I love Roth-era Halen, but the live show wasn’t Roth’s strong suit. -

I’m planning on Van Halen, HORSE the band, and Macho Man. That Van Halen record is 4xLP, so $100 isn’t insane.
