The band has recorded a debut album called "Soon We'll All Be Ghosts" together with Chris Common (THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES) at RedRoom Studios (MASTODON, ISIS, MINUS THE BEAR) in Seattle which has been self released early this year on CD. September 26th, our label Arctic Rodeo is going to release the album as a multimedia set limited to 300 copies including: LP on colored vinyl + 4 page folded insert DVD containing video clips for all album tracks + studio recording documentary + making-of special edition CD feature CD containing all album tracks as wav files and as mp3 files + mp3 label compilation + digital deluxe art booklet "Soon We'll All Be Ghosts" will be up for pre-order August 29th. There will be 2 different versions: 100 copies of the LP will be pressed on purple/white mixed colored vinyl, 200 copies will be in orange/white mixed colored vinyl. It depends, it seems many US labels make additional profit by charging way to much for shipping. Usually I am charged between $ 12 and $ 15 for shipping a single LP and around $ 18 to $ 20 for a double LP. I have purchased thousands of records directly from the US in my life, but I have never ever paid $ 20 for getting one 10" shipped to Germany.The weird thing is: the other way around shipping is just so much cheaper. I ship records from Germany to the US and anywhere else in the world for my label Arctic Rodeo Recordings all the time, and shipping costs for 1 LP to the US are less than € 5, for 2 LPs it's less that € 9. This is just crazy.

Shipping costs for one 10" to Germany are $ 20. This is ridiculous. I love this band, and I am used to being charged way too much for shipping anyway. But enough is enough, I am not willing to pay this. It is impossible that these are the real shipping costs for one 10" - that's more than I usually pay for shipping a double LP in a gatefold jacket from the US to Germany. What a bummer, I would really love to own this.

We are very sorry having to let you know that the release date of the vinyl version of SKELETON KEY’s “Obtainium” will have to be pushed back. Due to a few problems we had with the audio pre-master and the vinyl re-mastering of the album, there will be a delay of a few weeks unfortunately. August 15th is now set as new release date. This is safe and will definitely work out. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience, usually we are very reliable and do not announce release dates we are not able to hold on to. Thanks a lot for your unsderstanding and support!

At this moment, the album is being re-mastered for vinyl. The new master will hopefully be sent to the Arctic Rodeo Headquarters for approval tomorrow. If it all works out well, the vinyl will be cut on Monday. We are super excited.

After the worldwide release of SKELETON KEY's latest album "Gravity is The Enemy" in 2012, we are very proud to announce the vinyl re-issue of the band's previous album "Obtainium" to be released on our label Arctic Rodeo Recordings this summer. "Obtainium" has been out on Ipecac Records back in 2002 and will be out on vinyl for the first time.
