  1. i think both arrow and flash have the same amount of drama, definitely, but i think there's something about queen's acting and some of the other actors (like laurel maybe) that puts people off. like that forced contemplative dramatic expression. then there's queen's bad wig in the flashbacks. barry sometimes gets that conflicted super hero look that's dramatic, but he's like a lovable geek like felicity is and most people find that endearing i guess. i have no idea. i'm just guessing but i've heard other people complain about arrow the same way i see it in here. i taped legends of tomorrow, might watch tonight. my husband and i already watch flash, arrow and gotham. i'd rank it 1. arrow 2. gotham 3. flash. i like the dark elements of the first two. the parallel universes in this current season of flash are putting me off a little, but i still like it for the most part. husband would rank it 1. gotham 2. flash 3. arrow. he only watches arrow because i do, i think he otherwise sleeps through it.
  2. good to hear he found it as far as your paranoia goes, but for future reference, you can contact a credit agency (like experian), say your social security number was compromised and have them monitor it. like if someone tries to fraudulently apply for a cell phone or credit card using your personal info, they'll call you first before approving it. they do this for a certain short period of time (a few months to a year? i forget), if you need them to monitor it longer, you file a police report and then submit that to the credit agencies. i found out i could do this because my info was compromised in that anthem health insurance breach. so there you go.
  3. oh ya! that's right, I ordered it over 2 months ago so I had forgotten that. I was trying to figure out how I got charged $154, thanks! hmm, guess I'll drop them an email asking about the additional difference from shipping.
  4. mine arrived also. looks lovely and i'm stoked to have it finally. i just looked at my credit card statement and i was actually only charged $154.00 total, so i'm assuming the shipping charge was already adjusted because that's $11 and change less than what the order history total quoted me on before they changed the NA shipping rate.
  5. ah, i just logged in also. $116 for the boxset, $49.60 for shipping.
  6. thanks. ya, i think the box set price was like $100 and shipping was $50 pre-NA shipping discount. i'll touch base with them later but that's not as big of a difference as i assumed it might be.
  7. how much was shipping after they changed the shipping rate for north america? i ordered beforehand and inquired about a partial refund after i got my shipping notice but anthea said they aren't doing those quite yet and to stay tuned...
  8. damnit, i went to the show a couple weeks ago and didn't see that 7", but i didn't look hard.
  9. i love H2O, have a bunch of their albums and 7"s and somehow always miss them when they are in town. last time, i had my ticket and couldn't go because i came down with shingles and bronchitis. the time before that, i was on vacation in hawaii. i feel like i'll never see them live.
  10. i got shipping notification last night and they arrived today. (i live in CA, so they probably didn't have to go far, but that was still faster than i expected after the email).
  11. oh man, i would expect nothing less. fucking chicago. whodathunk edmonton would be the last team to let me down. anyway, if there is another anti-3 goal pool, you can count me in.
  12. do they have a limited amount per show? i probably can't arrive early since i have my folks watching my kid for a limited time and don't want to stretch it. i'd like to grab one so i could either ask a friend to grab for me early or just get it whenever i show up if it's not like there's a certain allotment per show.
  13. nice running into you, brian and his kid! game suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked though. damn. another domestic violence sitch. hahaha... ya... this is why i would never draft a kings goalie. not his fault. team hangs the goalie out to dry so many times. hopefully, they'll get their shit together later in the season rather than coast into the playoffs or miss it entirely again.
  14. awesome. i am planning a visit to north county later this month so i'll try and drop by this beach break cafe. menu looks noms.
  15. good call not drafting them. i probably would've been a homer and done it and then rightfully hated myself last night.
  16. i do the same! it's more like a photojournal for myself and anyone else who might care (friends or fam). it perplexes me that people use it as a mode of validation and there are these apps for people to see who unfollowed them. i don't even care about that so it's weird to me that there is even an app for that, but oh well? and basically, i do use the hashtags to see what else is out there... like for example if i tag a band and they like it and then i realize they have an IG page and i can like it to see what's new with thtem. or anything else i might like to consume (food, dresses, museums, etc.)
  17. when do you do this draft you're speaking of? i might be in.
  18. i eat at the slanted door every time i visit norcal (about once a year). it's in the ferry building. you can get a table with a nice view of the bay bridge and bay, like this:
  19. there was a sports bar in north county where a handful of kings fans would gather to watch hockey. i never went, but i used to see a thread about it when i went to lgk more often so such a thing could exist... looking around, if it's what i think it was called (stadium sports bar) then it's closed now though. so maybe you're right, lol.
  20. ya, me too, given that kane is a complete douche, but some of the stuff coming out about the case is CRAY CRAY. we'll see, i guess. i used to care a little since you get to see prospects and people like budaj trying to get a contract. plus after not watching hockey since april, i thought i might be a little more into it than i am, but my kid and house are taking up so much of my time and mental occupation. i'm still sad about williams going to washington though even if it was inevitable.
  21. do you really believe she had nothing to do with it though? i'm not convinced either way and think the DA's statement is a cautious one... as in they wouldn't say the accuser had anything to do with it if they didn't have the proof to come out and say that. i think it doesn't look like she had anything to do with her mom's lack of credibility or whatever is going on there, but i also think no one really knows yet. it doesn't really look that great that she has 2 other peoples' dna on her but not kane's, but who knows... maybe he used a condom. i'm not sure on the deetz on her ordeal with him as told in the police report so who knows what they were supposed to find. are you stoked on hockey being back? i'm not not stoked, but i feel less excited about the preseason than usual. i'm not sure if it's just that i have a lot of other life stuff going on right now so i'm distracted or if it's the kings.
  22. hahahaha. i love matt's homerism. don't ever change. oh man. that kane case is O_o.
  23. good call, my father-in-law lives in carlsbad so i go here once a month for pizza and beer. i also get beer at the stone brewing tasting room in oceanside. and i get california burritos at roberto's in encinitas (i ask for guac instead of sour cream). and occasionally, i'll drop into lou's records.
