  1. you're right. i just don't spend that much time on the computer at all. maybe i'll get around to it when the various shows i watch that are in their last seasons are over.
  2. i think you have to suspend disbelief a lot in order to enjoy these shows in general and i am ok with that. the last arrow probably wasn't particularly excellent, but i did like the twist on the wife still being alive. thought she was dead for sures. however, i wasn't completely shocked at all that ollie's old friend was the one who ended up coming through for him. i am still trying to get into flash, but the fact that the cw site doesn't air the pilot plus the first few episodes that i missed is hampering that. (too lazy to search torrents).
  3. i love the glasshouse! only thing i dislike about it is that it takes me an hour to get there.
  4. so i have the same bday as riley from thrice and i ran into him (and his brother) while having my bday dinner.
  5. it does, but he's got a cup, he'll be ok after all the other crap passes. btw, happy belated bday and congrats on your engagement. your gf, now fiancée, is beautiful. glad you got to end the year on a high note. (sorry, just so busy since like turkey day).
  6. yes. i didn't see the pilot, but started on episodes 2 and 3. i didn't like it but as i kept going, it caught on. saw the pilot when they replayed it and overall looking back, i'm glad i stuck with it. i have yet to see tonight's (west coast).
  7. ya, ian shared it on FB. nasty. but oddly amazing! reminds me of the cut ian got on his face a while back. hahahaha. :-/
  8. i don't care about the matchup either, but it was a pretty good game. i don't like amassing stuff that would just take up space, but that's pretty cool. if i were that close by and had the time, i would just go and take photos with the players.
  9. gonna drop this here. great cover of lorde's buzzcut season from dustin's latest solo shows: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bwj4V7dUUwhSQVM2UG81clVGQ2s/edit oh ya and it goes without saying... so pumped about the news.
  10. yup $20 gift card to target. he always leaves my packages against my front door even though it's a bit of a walk from the curb. he left me a card saying thanks and signed it "Mailman Dan". haha.
  11. i figured as much but i feel like it's still pretty cavalier to walk around like that. i mean what else could that swelling have been? LOL. i'm sure a lot of these players who have been catching it have had the vaccine. i think it could have either worn off or maybe he's like the 10% of kids who get the vaccine but it doesn't take. in those cases, and cases where certain kids (such as those with autoimmune disorders) can't get the vaccine, herd immunity is supposed to help. the less people in the herd that get it, the more likely an outbreak is to occur. and now olli maatta has it. poor guy.
  12. haha, what's up with crosby walking around in denial with that giant cheek for a bit there though? i wonder how many people he gave it to before they got the definitive results.
  13. ya, i think his japanese friend ends up helping him but i definitely thought "WHAAAAAT?!" a few times during that finale. dang, i think i need to start watching flash.
  14. i still have no idea if i should expect the burger king logo re: the kings stadium series jersey and it feels gross saying it, but i like that california shoulder patch on the sharks jersey.
  15. so i went to lou's records today. i'd gone to 3 shops in OC prior to that and they had all sold out of the new order RSD release and it turned out i was visiting family in carlsbad later in the day and lou's still had 4 copies. the punk section is really bare, the indie section was ok and there were some interesting things in the 7" section but i didn't really have time to mull them over. i might go back after i sleep on it though. pretty happy with bionics, port of sound and tko though; i got everything i wanted and more.
  16. I think I paid $8-9 for mine and the store that had it had a bunch (at least 5 copies) whereas the other 2 stores I went to had zero. I've headed out of town now but anyone in SoCal who wants it, bionic records is where I got it.
  17. must've been really awesome when they were in 3 buildings. the first time i went there was with an acquaintance in 2008. i really liked it and went back a few times. my father-in-law lives in carlsbad so i went a few more times after they downsized to the one trailer but the level of awesome had dropped by then. i, too, hope business picks back up. it would be nice if they could at least expand back to 2 trailers or a larger location. i might drop by this weekend when i'm in town if i can find the time anyway.
  18. sounds about right, i think i've actually seen them go for $500, too. and they'll have nacho stains on them on top of that. gross. that is so awesome. hahahahahaha.
  19. my friend told me they are indeed going with a version of the BK jersey. I really hope he's joking, too. if they went with BK, I have no idea how the Sharks would match up to that degree of silliness. did you drop a lot of $$$ on that jersey? I've only seen them go for obscene amounts of dough (ie. design does not justify cost).
  20. https://twitter.com/KingsVision/status/536735700637343744 i hope it's a joke, too... i don't hate the logo so much, i just think it's silly and dumb. one of my friends works in the media department with kingsvision, i'll ask if he knows anything about that.
  21. that's a bummer about the downsizing. last time i was there, i wasn't sure if the move to just one trailer was temporary or not. i'm just not in the area enough or for long enough to make the time to dig for anything these last few years. i will have to give factory records a look. it's located just 15 min from my house. i think it probably just depends with port of sound. some stuff, sure it was pricey and i didn't buy it, but i got 6 albums and a box set for $160 last time i as there. everything i bought was either cheaper or the same as what i could've gotten online and it's a brick and mortar store so they have more costs associated with their business than someone selling records online so i didn't feel like it was terrible. tko is also close by me. i'll have to make the time to drop by one of these days.
  22. i'll second bionic records. that was the first record shop i went to when i was 19 and they still had a location in huntington beach. so i've basically been shopping there for the last 16 years. there's port of sound in costa mesa that someone on here complained about once, but i thought they were ok. it seemed pricey at first, but after looking up the same titles on discogs, it actually compared well and i got a RVIVR record used for pretty cheap there. it's also pretty well organized which i liked. i'll also second that vinyl solution in HB is really not worth the time. lots of overpriced records, completely unplayable ones in the dollar bin and i get sketchy vibes from them re: RSD. to their credit though, i did find a sense field RSD press of killed for less for a decent price but i'm sure it's because there wasn't giant demand for it... lou's records in encinitas was really rad when they had 2 trailers. last time i went they'd downsized their location to just 1 trailer and selection was a lot slimmer, but that was a few years ago. no idea how it is now. amoeba is a given whenever i'm in the area. thanks for this thread, it's interesting to see what else is out there.
  23. i got my copy of Futures earlier than i thought. amoeba's KY warehouse sent it outside of the sleeve so it wasn't even sealed but the best part about that was it is indeed the blue variant and i didn't even have to worry about if i should unseal it or not. woohoo.
