I got to play with a Surface while at a training for work at a Microsoft store and I thought it was really cool. If you have Windows 8 at home, you can link it up with your Surface to access everything on your desktop (maybe more?).
It also comes with a fullsuite of 2013 Office, which isn't out yet.

I dislike it very much when I am texting back and forth with someone and the conversation just ends with no real exit to it. I am a hypocrite, though, since I do it to other people.
Also, speaking of texting, Gizmodo just posted an article about a website that girls can use to send in texts guys send them and get feedback on what it means.
Holy shit, reading some of the comments with advice from one girl to another is painful. Sometimes it is so incredibly off. The simplest words are misconstrued and over-analyzed, and end with comments like "DELETE HIS NUMBER GIRL HE'S NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!"

I feel like I went through the same thing Derek. She put an end to it because in her words she needed to be single for once and not feel like she was dependant on a guy. In my situation, there really wasn't anything that could be done. This was like 8ish months ago and I've seen her off and on since then in a neutral capacity, and she still hasn't gotten into a relationship with anyone. So it could be a totally valid thing that your girl is going through.

Usually what I will do is send her a text and wait 10 minutes. If she doesn't respond, I'll send the same text again and wait 10 minutes.
If I still don't have a response after 5 minutes I will follow up with "??" And again, 5 minutes later, something like "Oh ok, I guess I'm just not good enough for you". From there it just gets ugly...
