Came home to find my copy waiting for me. Opened it as slowly as Charlie Bucket opened his last Wonka Bar. Expected black, and extremely delighted to find that I received a pink vinyl copy!

question for other carbon owners in this thread who have received theirs: should i hear an audible noise when i start the turntable as the platter starts spinning and gets up to speed? i hear a noise for a few seconds and it seems like its just the TT starting up. is this normal? am i paranoid?

Got my yellow Carbon in the mail last night. Set it up today. My first record is Olafur Arnalds "And They Have Escaped The Weight of Darkness". Wow. I'm floored. I just got the record yesterday, so I never played it on my $100 Best Buy TT, but this thing is blowing me away. It's only been 5 minutes and I am already extremely extremely happy with the purchase.

saw this last night and finally picked up the Rolling Stones "GRRRR" box set (greatest hits). It's original price is $200 for 5xLP's, which is a bit outrageous, luckily I got it at $130 today, which is a near decent price. Also picked up some less expensive stuff like the Jonsi "GO" LP, G!YBE "F#A# Infinity" LP and the "Rza Presents Shaolin Soul" Compilation. Super stoked on my pick-ups today

I decided to order from Crutchfield today, since they're the only place that has the yellow one in. It came in stock today, I ordered it. I should be here early next week. I am stoked to upgrade from my $100 Best Buy Sony TT!!

yeah, i agree. it's going to be my first year NOT getting in line 4 hours early at my local store, and first ever time to TMR. Hoping the secret stuff is really exciting

Yeah, after this thread I realized that both the record and my needle needed a cleaning. Now the record plays with no problem. This soundtrack is really really good and definitely worth picking up. The price was steep, but definitely worth it for me

It's funny that people who have probably never listened to Mumford & Sons are comparing this to Mumford & Sons. It really doesn't sound much like them at all. It sounds more like a few Dropkick Murphys sons than anything.

no. i found a euro who was really really stoked to own it. i think it was through the Livewire board. PayPal freaked out when I got all that money all at once and wouldn't release it until the euro received the record. I ended up paying over a hundred to overnight it to the kid, but well worth it...

$1300 for Judge-Chung King Can Suck It #65/110. sold it 5 years later for $3500 so I don't care.
