I search, but I missed a thread like this feel free to link me. Headed to Boston for the Frozen Fenway hockey games in a couple weeks and wondering what shops are still going strong in the area. It's been years. I know Weirdo and Armageddon are both in Cambridge. And there is a bunch of shops around Mass Ave / Boylston / Newberry etc. Curious to hear what you all like. I'm into a lot of genres but a good contemporary selection is key. Not looking for anything from the 70s / 80s / 90s for the most part.

Yes. I read these so many times when I was younger. Kriss, what Batman stories would you recommend? I grew up Marvel and occasionally bought some Image comics but rarely, if ever, read any Batman stuff. I have an understanding of the character so should I start with early stuff or are there self-contained arcs to work through?

Again, I wonder if it is due to potential baseball related revenue. If they speculate that Darvish has a higher upside, or about equal as Wilson, then maybe interest from a new market tipped the scales. Or maybe Wilson got more years than they wanted to offer but they had the money so this is somewhat of a contingency plan.

I don't think the Sox will spend big here. I'd be shocked to see them commit a lot of money to anyone this off season, especially in this situation.

My opinion, and others may disagree, is that technical specs don't matter that much and are highlighted to shorten product life cycles. However, manufacturers are important, but Samsung, Sony and even Sharp I think have great sets. The size question is contextual. Is it going on a huge wall, I'd try to get a 42" otherwise it will appear pretty small. If it is going on a stand, I think you can go smaller. I try to think about the size for the space, not size generally. Also, this I promise, it will look much bigger when you get it out of the store and into your home.

This brings up a more interesting question, at least to me. How many records per month do ya'll buy? I'm around 10 or 11 a month unless I grab something pricey, in which case I'll go 5 to 6.

You could also try Virb.com. I'd be an advocate for the template route. I say this with all due respect, but anyone who is willing to do this for you for free probably isn't going to position you favorably in the marketplace. You could get lucky with some hungry, really talented, recent graduate but most self-respsecting designers are not going to leap at this opportunity.

Art Director for a small interactive agency. Mobile Apps and website design by day, logo and (at times) more fun print design at night. Cut WAY back on drinking a few months ago and I've been using that money for vinyl. Helps keep me fairly sober, at least on the week nights.

This thread seems to have the same split consensus of other things I've read. Some people think it prevents ring wear, others do not. Like dreamover stated I've got to figure that if your records are packed tight enough to create significant ringwear then storing outside the vinyl isn't going to change this. Seems like thicker (say 4mil) sleevs would do more to prevent this than anything else. Has anyone come across a definitive answer?

I was bummed they didn't have that at the show I saw as well. They may have plowed through them pretty quick. They only had the ST vinyl at the show I saw. I kind of want the 7" but I also sort of hate 7" so I'm torn.
