  1. If there were 5k pressed, how on earth would BSM have had almost 20% of them sitting around months after rsd? I hope these ship, but that inventory # is/was fiction.
  2. I'm nowhere near there, but Go Leafs! (they have nowhere to go but up)
  3. Against my better judgment..gave it a shot. ....swing and a miss. Already got a DHL tracking #, and I'm guessing a 10 lp set would weight just a bit more than 1.8 lbs. Oh well.
  4. I know it ain't gonna happen, but looking for the Sigur Ros and Grateful Dead
  5. Speaking of DNA/spunk, Tom G Warrior of Celtic Frost fame has some lovely jizz-covered death masks that would certainly make great Christmas gifts: http://selfdeceased.blogspot.com/2010/11/self-deceased-xlv2010.html
  6. Well I'm sure I'll never see it but I ordered the Sigur Ros from the archambault.ca site. Paid with paypal so worst case is I just dispute it if they don't ship within a month or so.
  7. They also have a listing for the Gorillaz http://www.archambault.ca/do-ya-thing-%28vinyl-single%29-ACH003127305-en-pr I ordered a couple a week or so ago. I did further research and realized I am never going to see them. Are they the JR.com of Canada?
  8. Got refunded via paypal for Sigur Ros and the Grateful Dead. Fuckers. First and last time I order from them. Did ANYONE get the Sigur Ros from these no-talent assclowns?
  9. I'm in the market for a turntable as well. This is coming out in a few weeks, and I think it's replacing the debut 3(or some model in that line): http://www.needledoctor.com/Pro-Ject-Debut-Carbon-in-Black I also read something about a usb/preamp(?) model as well
  10. I'm in the minority, but I think Ride the Lightning was their masterpiece. Both MOP and AJFA were pretty much rehashes of it in song structure. Fast opening song > long epic title song > heavy slower song > ballad that uses E chord notes > etc. Black album was fine for the masses of course, but their days of innovating were long gone.
  11. Me neither. I ordered the Sigur Ros on 4/21 in afternoon(paypal), and no info, no credit, and no emails. I called earlier today and they gave me some lame explanation about waiting to see what stock they have and then filling orders but I'm not holding my breath.
  12. Got Neutral Milk Hotel! Thank you! Their page says it can still be used once more and you'll need this barcode too: 673855013619
  13. This one? http://www.reckless.com/index.php?keywords=horrible+crowes&format=45&cond=&store=&is_search=true&srch=Search They shipped my Luther Dickinson RSD release today, so not too bad.
  14. When did you order? I ordered the Sigur Ros around 3pm EST on Saturday(4/21), but haven't got an update yet.
  15. I'd love a copy too. J&R order I have is so not gonna happen.
  16. I saw a girl this morning at Tunes in South Jersey buy 8 copies of a 7". didn't see what it was, but it definitely had the RSD sticker on it. One dude asked another that was stocking, and they both agreed they didn't care and sold them to her. That's when I'd be taking my business elsewhere. Apathy is not something any record store should be showing to any customer.
  17. Some have posted that JR cancels many orders but doesn't hurt to try: http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2176034/
  18. I swear I don't work for(and have never previously ordered from) JR http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2176034/
  19. from above post http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2195142/ I'm looking for the Luther Dickinson 78rpm and the Garbage 7"
  20. this the sigur ros you're looking for? http://www.jr.com/product/music/pm/_2195142/ - I just ordered one
  21. I always get a kick out of ignorant people that think usps carriers are just walking around catching rays. I was a carrier for almost a year so I know firsthand that most people couldn't cut it in that job, as much more often than not the newbies I worked with couldn't cut it and were cut before their 90 days were up. Don't believe me? During my probationary period another new carrier (Ex Marine) decided it was too much and quit because of the strain. It's a PHYSICAL job that eventually breaks most people down. As for making the grade..Imagine not knowing the neighborhoods you're delivering to and having 10+ hours of mail to get rid of. Combine that with god awful weather/conditions and it is often miserable. Going fast doesn't work, because you are constantly having to figure out where you're going and check apt numbers, names, sort mail, etc. Many of the people in there are veterans, and they deserve a decent paying job for serving their country. The majority of carriers I knew had repetitive stress injuries. Bad knees, hips, wrists...crap that ain't going away. Bottom line: the workers there were just like any other private sector job I've ever had. Most were good, a few were great, and a few were awful. I left simply because I had a better offer in IT, and obviously the PO isn't growing. But the mindless ripping of PO workers is lame and ignorant.
  22. I'm hoping they'll also then bring 500 or so along for the 30 date US tour this year too.
  23. This is my biggest pet peeve in grammatical errors. +1000. Totally could of avoided that one. Should of used another spelling. My second place winner would be 'could care less'
