  1. Got black from Amoeba online. Listening for the first time - this is easily the best record he has put out, in my opinion.
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Promo code welovevinylmore saves you 10% ($1.90).
  3. That $15 one above was cut by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI. I think the ORG will run you about $50.
  4. Is the Warner reissue different from the original issued in 2007 (the first vinyl issue, even though the CD was released in 2006)? It has a white cover and is a gatefold. I have that issue and it sounds amazing - tracked and mixed to tape (a different master from the CD) and cut by Kevin Gray at AcousTech. EDIT: Maybe you were talking about the Keep It Like a Secret reissue. Anyway, I also have that one and it also sounds great. Also cut by Kevin Gray at AcousTech.
  5. Ty Segall & Mikal Cronin ‎- Reverse Shark Attack [in the Red] [Turquoise] [/200] - http://www.ebay.com/itm/331254964651 Cliff Martinez ‎- Drive (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Mondo] [black] - http://www.ebay.com/itm/331254949217
  6. Yeah, as an owner of the RSD box, the only logical difference between the two would be the "RSD Exclusive" sticker on the shrink wrap. Other than that, they should be exactly identical.
  7. Listened to the entire thing today and it sounds quite spectacular. I was never really a fan of the mix on the Blu-ray/DVD and the live stream mix was just awful. This vinyl mix is essentially flawless.
  8. Same. Just picked this up today at Amoeba in SF for $130. The guy behind the register was confused because they sold out on RSD. Has the RSD Exclusive sticker and everything.
  9. Just got mine in from eBay. Definite improvement over the CD (can really hear it in Charborg, Crutch, and Rousseau, e.g.) - which is nice considering that this was obviously cut from digital and was originally all recorded/engineered DIY in Zach's bedroom. No mastering/cutting details provided - just pressed by GZ. Now I've gotta go update my collection photo!
  10. I'm looking for Trouble In Mind: Liverpool 2013 (TIM062) Looking to buy for about $50, but could also trade. Here is my collection: http://www.discogs.com/user/synapsistapped/collection?page=1&folder=0&limit=250 Here's a sample of some things I'd be willing to trade: Fuzz - Sunderberry Dream [baby blue] Thee Oh Sees ‎- Floating Coffin [space lego green] Pink and Brown - Every Shade of Pink and Brown [brown/pink] Ty Segall ‎- Ty Segall [white/coke bottle green] Ty Segall ‎- Ty Segall [pink with white splatter] Ty Segall - Live in Aisle 5 [green] Ty Segall Band ‎- Slaughterhouse [clear] Various ‎- The Velvet Underground & Nico (Castle Face Covers) [banana yellow]
  11. What was the MSRP? $130? I think I can wait until May. I've already been gouged on eBay for Pinback and Tame Impala.
  12. I couldn't make RSD this year and this was essentially all I wanted to buy. Figured I'd check here before biting the bullet on eBay. If you have an extra or are willing to sell, please let me know!
  13. Got this the other day from Amoeba - it's the "silvery" cover first press. This is definitely the best Rainbo press I have - it's labeled as 180 gram on the sleeve, but feels at least 200 gram and is very quiet (which can't be said about the previous two Timber Timbre releases). Great release, too - I may even like it a little more than Creep On Creepin' On.
  14. I always just cut the opening and leave the shrink wrap on, whether there are stickers or not. The only time I don't is when I have to take it off (like those pre-perforated sleeves that RTI uses). In that case, I will cut the stickers off of the sleeve and keep them in the jacket. "Leaving the shrink wrap on causes damage" (to anything) is BS. I've bought many old used records with the original shrink wrap still on and the sleeves were perfect.
  15. ^ Ya responding to a question in a duplicate thread... and I gave more info... not trying to steal your thunder
  16. Same. Those TH remasters are fantastic, though - and the colored variants are reasonably priced compared to the standard black.
  17. Physical quality is great. 2xLP in a heavy Stoughton gatefold jacket. Vinyl about 150gram. Printed inner sleeves. Sound quality is also great. Mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling, cut by Paul Gold at Salt Mastering. Not sure who Secretly Canadian uses to press the vinyl. It's flat but has some surface noise. Overall, it' sounds pretty great given the content; with all it's layers, reverb, etc. You can really play it loud, too. "An Ocean in Between the Waves" is the choice cut, imo.
  18. Yeah, the cost doesn't bother me so much. I'll gladly pay $50 for a reissue done right (e.g. Analogue Productions), but to not disclose any of the remastering/pressing details with such a high price tag is not acceptable and I would never blindly buy such a release.
  19. I have the remastered box set and it sounds amazing - pressed at Optimal Media - I can't imagine it sounding any better. After that, I think there was another "non box set" issue pressed at United for the US that doesn't sound as good but is a fine alternative to an original. EDIT: Here's a good read: http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/nick-drake-pink-moon-2012-audiophile-virgin-vinyl.298374/
  20. That could be the Full Time Hobby issue on black there, though. The white still could have been limited, but I never knew of an A&C issue on black (I could be wrong though). I bought a white A&C issue on release day in a black jacket, then another some time after in a purple jacket, and then another much later in a green jacket; all white.
  21. No, the "random" meant that the color of the vinyl is random because it was pressed with randomly mixed scraps of colored vinyl. Are you sure that it is actually black? e.g. my copy of the Klaus Johann Grobe single looks black but is actually colored when looking in direct light. Also, that 64 is just the catalog number.
  22. With very few exceptions, the first press (usually 500) of every TIM release is on randomly mixed "trash" vinyl. Some are held for online orders/preorders, and the rest are distributed to shops. Every subsequent repress is on black vinyl. It was specifically mentioned that the Morgan Delt issue on "slime green" was a mailorder-only. So there must be another batch of "mixed vinyl" too.
