PO: Mono - For My Parents

From TRL's Facebook earlier today: And I'll quote this one again: In other words, you can only get a colored version from TRL. This is (and has always been) the case for all of their releases. -

Thanks for the heads up about the Sleeping People record... that one came out of nowhere. -
Storing Records At School?

I fit about 60 in each cube, packed reasonably tight (tight enough that they are all upright, but loose enough so that they slide out easily). See here. -

That sucks. Was the package thrashed? i.e. a USPS problem? Mine arrived in good condition. Yes, though, good EP. -
You can preorder this now: http://omnivorerecordings.com/shop/

Jimmy Eat World Futures ERROR PRESSING?
synapsistapped replied to krisakarcher's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I recently bought the first Run-D.M.C. record and the B side was pressed on both sides (no "Rock Box" :-/). Also, my copy of Sky Blue Sky by Wilco came with duplicate A/B records and no C/D record. Shit happens. -

My current set-up: Turntable: Denon DP-60L | Cartridge: Denon DL-160 | Clamp: Orsonic Disc Stabilizer DS-250 Preamp: McIntosh MX110 Amp: Pioneer SA-750 (will eventually be replaced with a McIntosh MC2105... before everyone tells me to sell the preamp like they did with the other guy!) Speakers: Quad 77-11L -
I order my sleeves from SquareDealOnline out of Southern California: http://www.squaredealonline.com/b.asp?v=75 You can get 25 10" sleeves for $12.80 ppd. I usually order here in bulk, though, because it makes more sense with the shipping price. I recently ordered 200 12" sleeves, 50 10" sleeves, and 100 7" sleeves (all 3 mil) for about $50 ppd.

Got the s/t record from Castle Face today. Wasn't too optimistic about how a different color on each side was going to work... -

So a label intends to press a certain amount of records as a one-off, but it sells well and there is still demand for the record. Why is a repress in that case a bad thing? Why is that bad integrity? The goal here should be supporting these bands and independent labels and actually listening to the music rather than stockpiling or flipping records based on value. Take the label In the Red for example. They keep almost everything in print. -

I was speaking in general, not specifically about this record. Anyway, if that's the case, then why are you complaining? Because it decreases the demand/price of the pink edition? Good. Records should be listened to and enjoyed, not flipped. Anything to keep the prices low is a good thing. In the record world, this means multiple presses (which is very common with garage labels, by the way). -

You've never seen a label initially say "one-time pressing" and then later press more? The original press has plain white labels while this repress has plain black labels if it really matters to you. So long as I can buy a new copy of a record I enjoy at a reasonable price, I don't care what color it is or how limited it is. -

Here's my Trouble in Mind 7" collection so far: Missing three. If you have TIM008, TIM011, or TIM013 I will pay a fair/generous price. -

FYI, Castle Face has a limited colored edition of Ty's s/t record up for sale right now: -
Excellent news. Definitely an album that was very high on my "releases that should be pressed" list.

Yeah, I did the same thing. They sorted it out pretty fast, though. Just so there's no more confusion: US: http://www.intheredrecords.com/pages/order-us.html CAN: http://www.intheredrecords.com/pages/order-canada.html ROW: http://www.intheredrecords.com/pages/order-intl.html
