  1. I'll have to listen to this. I really liked the movie and thought that the soundtrack fit the movie well, but I can't think of it off the top of my head.
  2. ^ I would agree with you on that. Instores at HT right now, it's buy 2 get one free, so I got Breaking Bad and Walking Dead sountracks, and then got another $20 record for free. So, it wasn't too bad of a deal.
  3. I picked this up today. Like the Breaking Bad soundtrack, I think it sounds like a good quality record. So, if you're scared of getting it because it's a picture disc, I wouldn't worry about that. I was a little disappointed that the theme song is a remixed version. Let's be honest, remixes are almost never as good as the originals. Hopefully if there is a Volume 2, the original theme song will be on there? I hope so. But yeah, I'm happy with my purchase of this.
  4. There was a ton of cool stuff on there. I missed out on all the really rare stuff (or was unwilling to pay that much) but I bought that Ken Taylor Dylan poster. I really like that one.
  5. So, I bought this and have no complaints about the sound quality (though I've only made it through the first LP). There is a little bit of surface noise that's noticeable during the quieter parts, but no more than most records you'll hear. Overall, I'm happy. The music is cool too. There's a lot of cool sounding stuff on here that I don't really remember from the show. My main complaint with picture discs (besides the obvious subpar sound quality of some) is that they usually don't come with a picture sleeve. I've never liked the clear plastic sleeves they come in. But, I guess that's how they show off the vinyl. Oh well. But, I'm fairly obsessed with Breaking Bad, so I'll be getting the colored version in January as well.
  6. You're in Salt Lake, right? I went to the West Jordan Graywhale and they had two. I bought one of them, but there was still one left when I left the store this morning. Maybe there's a small chance they still have it.
  7. Is this something they sometimes do? Put up some surprise prints along with the announced ones?
  8. So, I've got a question. Everyone seems to hate picture discs apparently. What is it that makes them sound worse? They're basically a clear record with a picture stuck in the middle, right? I have a couple picture discs that have pretty noticeable surface noise, more than the average LP, but I also have a couple that sound fine to me. So, I don't hate them as much as the average person I guess. Though, like the rest of you, I will probably look forward to the January version of this more as well.
  9. Got these in the mail today. Nice work. Sounds great and look great. I haven't listened to these albums in like 10 years, so it's fun to hear them again.
  10. I don't really know how into the Studio Ghibli soundtrack everyone was, but I think it'd be awesome if they released scores for some of the individual movies with the corresponding Olly Moss artwork.
  11. Got mine in the mail today. Looks pretty cool. I'll give it a listen in the morning.
  12. The deluxe box sounds pretty cool, but I'll just stick with the loser edition I already ordered.
  13. Yeah, thanks andrewlucas. You're a good dude for picking up that many for people here.
  14. http://blackknights.spinshop.com/MEDIEVAL%20CHAMBER/details/213274 Hip-hop duo's new album, Medievial Chamber, is up for pre-order. It's the Wu-Tang Clan affiliated group's first album in three years, and the whole album was produced by John Frusciante. Cheapest shipping option is $11, sucks. Sounds intriguing though. The hip-hop portions of John Frusciante's last 2 albums were really cool, so I'm definitely looking forward to this. Frusciante also sings on 2 songs on the album.
  15. For some reason I've never cared about variants where the only thing different is vinyl color. Cover art is a different story. I'd be buying all of the variants if they had different covers. So, I'm glad they've only done that on a few of their releases. Speaking of which, I'll try to get this Halloween variant if it makes it to the web.
  16. This has some pretty decent songs on it. Too bad I didn't jump on the $6 day version. Oh well.
  17. Awesome! I've been looking for a copy of this for the past little while and was pretty close to paying waaay too much.
  18. http://www.spin.com/articles/crosses-bitches-brew-chino-moreno-stream-deftones/?utm_source=spintwitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=spintwitter New song and more info. "Deftones leader Chino Moreno has been on a tear of late. His most famous band made a grand return with their rock-solid seventh album Koi No Yokan, while his dream-metal group with the ex-members of Isis, Palms, shared their self-titled debut in June. But throughout it all, the Northern California hard rock beacon never forgot about † † † (or Crosses) — he promised that the electronics-powered project would return this year, and now it has. Below you can experience "bi†ches brew," a seething, slowly surging slab of beautiful doom that oozes forth on the back of an unexpected Krautrock groove. Moreno and his partners in Crosses — Far's Shaun Lopez, and Chuck Doom — are prepping their eponymous debut album for a February 11 release. The 15-track set will include earlier works EP † and EP ††, plus five additional songs. Digital and physical pre-order kicks off November 26 via Sumerian." The video of the new song says 11/25 pre-order though, not 11/26.
