I live right close to the S Congress one. I usually get their breakfast tacos and they are reaaally good (and huge). Wish they were open for dinner though

I've only been there once and unfortunately it was really bad Got a shrimp burrito and they used canned tiny shrimp in it. Bleck. Also they give you chips before your meal and then say "the salsa is inside, it's self serve" and then you go inside and there's a sign next to it that says "Salsa $2.99" WHO DOES THAT?! Hahaha.

If you're gonna do cheap Tex-Mex food I prefer Chuy's to Trudy's ... sorry if I turned this into a thread about food

My three favorite restaurants in Austin are The Hightower, Winebelly, and Barlata. Hopefully one of those piques your interest!

I've only been to the Amoeba in SF which Waterloo is similar to - Waterloo is a bit smaller though. Waterloo has more of a mainstream vibe to it while End of An Ear has a more local record store vibe. How long are you here for? If you want any food recommendations let me know

There's also Encore Records (which I've never gotten around to going to) and Antone's which is mostly used rock/blues/country but also had a couple of more recent and hard to find records when I was there

Waterloo is the big record store in Austin. Aside from that the only store I know of with a large selection of new records is End of An Ear which I actually prefer because it's closer to my apartment and less crowded (parking at Waterloo can be a bitch sometimes).
