  1. Ha, getting called out. I'm just sitting here with about 8 tabs open. Watching episodes of Glee and looking trying to find some records I want to blow some cash on.
  2. Amazon Prime has Broad City too if you have that. 1st Season at least, not sure how many seasons tehre are. Gotta say I like it, but I'm not nuts about it like most of y'all. At least its better than workaholics.
  3. I get the logic behind why pets have a greater value than "livestock". However, I have a hard time with it. Why does the fact that someone loves something give it an intrinsically greater value? Should this ideology apply to humans as well? For me I look at a persons pet and I feel little to nothing for it. That pet already has people who love and care for it. When I look at livestock I am more likely to actually feel something. Livestock is a living being that exists with no love in it's life. It's simply property and I can't look at it and not have my heart break. Looking at pictures of factory farms are one of the main things that will tear me up big time. I'm done, didn't mean to keep this discussion going on longer than it had to. I just lack an ability of leave a thought unsaid when in a converstaion. I also get that I don't look at things the same way as pretty much everyone else. I've just got a fucked up perspective on the world.
  4. No. My comment was specifically in regards to this comment. Your comment seems to be equating the life of a dog to that of a human in terms of legal punishment. Perhaps I understood what you were saying incorrectly. This cop should absolutely lose his job. He is not someone who should be given a gun. Should he go to jail? I don't know. Possibly. Not trying to jump up on my soap box here to much, but I've always found it contridictory for people to get so up in arms about protecting animals yet they have no issues eating meat. Perhaps I just need to value the life of dogs, cats and horses more than that of cows chickens and pigs (unless its a house pet pig) I'm not trying to be a dick here, just wanted to be honest about where I'm coming from. I'm also not trying to tell you to take up a vegetarian lifestyle, I don't believe in forcing my ideology on others.
  5. This is where me being a heartless bastard pays off. Stuff like this doesn't affect me. More, or less I only have so much care to go around and animal deaths don't tug at my heart strings. That may sound odd seeing as I am a vegetarian and the main reason is I don't want to hurt animals. If my heart broke at every dead puppy I'd spiral into a cycle of depression and despair. Not trying to say that y'all shouldn't feel what you feel. I'm envious of people that aren't heartless bastards like myself.
  6. I got you there. I avoid my parents like the plague. Yes, I do know I'm a bad son. 20150319_001105 by rainbowtroutoctagon, on Flickr Looks like I'm on pace to be a "true hermit". In reality I guess I have to concede defeat though. I've got a concert I'm going to tomorrow night.
  7. JD McPherson is a pretty fun act. I'm not a Zeplin or Plant fan so I can't say if it's worth $100, but McPherson is one of those acts on my kind of want to see list.
  8. Hopefully he doesn't work at home because I can't compete with that.
  9. I feel like this need's to become a thing. Someone prepare guidelines and rules for the epic Vinyl Collective Hermit Off 2015!
  10. I will beat any one of you in a Hermit-off. No one can touch my Hermit abilities.
  11. I like this idea. Why is it that ex's still exist after you break up. They should know to stop exisiting once you break up. I ran into he about a year ago and it lead to a few weeks of terrible texting. I swear she just likes seeing if she can fuck with my head. Which she obviously can, proven by the fact that I tried hiding from her.
  12. Like for fun? Like on a one time dare? Like a bowl of spiders for dinner? Like a tarantula or a tiny spider? To many questions yet to be answered before I can answer.
  13. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, nothing worse than running into an ex, trying to avoid them and having them see you avoiding them. Saw my ex when I was picking up lunch but tried avoiding her. Did not work. Just got a text from her asking if I was avoiding her.
  14. Chris Gold - http://www.christophergold.com/ The Traveling Suitcase - http://thetravelingsuitcase.bandcamp.com/ Redleg Rebellion - http://www.redlegrebellion.com/music.html Here's a couple local acts I like quite a bit. My neck of the woods doesn't have a ton of options.
  15. I love that show, and I love this gif because whoever made it misspelled turning.
  16. I've got the Anti-Flag / Dread split which is one of the first 10 records I bought and The Uncluded Hokey Fright on picture disc.
  17. My favorite genres of movies are disaster and distopian future movies, so this is actually a topic I can add something to. Omega Man - When I saw I am Legend I was sure that it was a loose remake of this Heston movie. Towering Inferno and Posiedon Adventure - A couple of gems from the late 70 or early 80s. Backdraft and Firestorm - Not your typical global armagedon movies, but are damn good. Been meaning to watch the Airport movies. Just never got around to doing it, but I know it's thought of as the father of all disaster movies. The Core is also a must have for disaster movie buffs. Not because it's good, but because it's so bad it's good. Couple more Heston flicks worth mentioning - Skyjacked and Earthquake. Then there is Solar Crisis which is just another one of those so bad it's good movies. There's also one of my favorite movies of all time Soylent Green, but that is more of a distopian future movie. Really anything Heston is great.
  18. I might have already brought this up in here before, but Snowpiercer is the best movie I've scene in a long long time.
