Pretty sure they said they were just going to stop focusing on new releases. And the overprice argument is really tired. Many labels have raised their prices to the 2LP for $25 and LP for $20 scheme by now. For some of these reissues, HHR has actually lowered their prices a little bit. The horse isn't even there to beat anymore. Your switch is just coming down on the ground.

Yes. It is BEYOND possible to press records that cheap still. I do it, and we keep pressing runs under 400 copies.
Don't believe the hype: these inflated prices are only to make extra money.
We just did a double LP, and only pressed 100 copies. Our cost on it was like $23. That was our most expensive release....but there were only 100 of them! Part of the high cost was that we had to master it for vinyl twice using two different companies - we spent over $1000 just to cut the lacquers. It was ridiculous, but I would do it again any day.
That being said, I am thrilled to own an OG of this record.

Hearty lol at the people calling Rollins names and bitching about him. What he wrote is pretty spot on but don't take everything so seriously. I'm sure a lot of it was written in jest. He is a big music buyer/collector himself and talks about it regularly during spoken word shows. I actually sold him a rare old punk single on Discogs a while back so once again, don't take his article so seriously. Read it, get a laugh and then move on to listening to some music.

Gilead Media is definitely a great and super inexpensively priced label/distro. Very similar to Robotic Empire. Both are great places to pick up records anyway. Bother are run by really great people.

Glad I've this band has never really caught my attention. I can just sit back and see how this unfolds like the Red Fang. I do appreciate the Black Cobra sidetrack earlier, though. Managed to see them a few years back in a tiny pub and the show was intense.
