Didn't this just get a repress? How is it sold out everywhere already. There's a shitstorm on eBay with rediculous prices for it and I don't get it. The album is just ok to me, and I know it's highly sought after but...idk. I guess I can't really say much because I'm more of a TBS person myself. With that being said, I need one of these for a gift. Anyone know of any places selling them at retail? Thanks.

Is there any visual difference in the corrected copies aside from the dead wax?  Hypothetically, could you get away ordering this, swapping your shitty OG vinyl, and returning it?

You know what's wore than people complaining about the price? People writing posts that say the same thing as a hundred other people, but start, "Maybe it's just me..."

Maybe it's just me, but I gladly bought this record for $40 +$5 Shipping and Handling, and I didn't even think twice about it.
 
Not just because it's an album I want so dearly, but because I want to support the band, and I am also greatful that I got the opportunity to purchase this at a price signifigantly below what they've been selling for on eBay. I'm glad I waited it out.
 
People that say that want to own this record because it's great but don't want to pay what they're charging clearly don't want it that badly. And that's fine, maybe this is just one of those records you don't get to add to your collection. Your choice. But when you start telling people what they should charge just "because" you think that's what it should be, instead of just accepting the price letting them charge what they want to, you're fighting a losing battle.

Thrice kinda sucks no?  I remember both of these albums sitting in a Bookman's used bin for 8 bucks each for over a year lol. Now they're good?  Funny that in the same used bin sat Stoner Witch for a good spell until i finally picked it up.

Got this today, took a GOOD look and didn't notice this at all. Not even going to check to see if you're right because:
 
1) I don't care
2) If I didn't notice it upon my initial look it's probably not relevant enough to give a shit
3) Parts of the cover are glossy, some parts are flat, just like the original CD, and I am totally stoked to see that kind of detail.The splatter on the record itself looks great as well.
4) Want to see a pixelated cover that you might actually have some grounds to complain? Go check out HT's first re-release of Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance. I own it and the pixelated image sucks, but who cares, I'm spinning wax of a record I love that I didn't own before for $20.
 
 
Do not have the original, but I have the 2nd pressing from HT and didn't even notice a difference. Honestly Travis, you're a dear to respond to these people complaining, but really I think the effort is useless as they are out of their freakin' minds.

But honestly, the issue is more the "anonymity" of most of these complaining assholes.
 
Nobody knows who they are, nobody will ever know, so they feel like they can just "like" a facebook page to make a statement, or mouth off wherever to anybody who will let them because they spent $25 (which is 3+ hours of mind-numbing work at the local burger joint) without having to be accountable for the shit they post. Amazing progressive society we live in these days...

I actually saw Brand New before, they were on tour with Thrice and played at the Soma in San Diego.
 
I couldn't tell if it was normally the way they played, but the sound from the band and the set of songs they played was just not that good. I actually was very glad I got the opportunity to see them, but the show was dissapointing to say the least.
 
However it's been probably 6-7 years since, so I am willing to give them a second try.

How the hell does a person write 132 demos? Nonetheless remember and keep track? Probably the same person that undertakes a 28 song double CD album...But as a guitar player/song writer this stuff blows my mind. There's just songs constantly going on in Billy's head...

And it sounds AMAZING with a good home or car stereo system and sub. Maybe it's just Oceania isn't for me, but I'm so glad Billy made Zeitgeist, such a raw sound that personifies the kind of rock musician he can be.
