  1. BEST bis - data Panik Etcetera - I was happy to finally have these songs on vinyl. The Creation - The Singles Boxset - I already have most of these songs on vinyl but it's nice to have reproductions of the original 7" single sleeves. WORST Oasis - Supersonic - I really don't know why I bought this. I didn't even need it.
  2. Slint - Spiderland (Deluxe Edition) - Triple LP/Double CD/DVD - 2268/3138 nothing - Guilty of Everything - Black/White Tri-Color Vinyl LP - /500 OFF! - Wasted Years - Cassette The Creation - The Singles Boxset - 11 x 7" Single Box Set Soft Cell - Where The Heart Is/It's a Mugs Game - 12" Single
  3. Helicon 1 was the first single I bought from them back in '97. Just bought it blindly without hearing them (this was pre-mp3/YouTube days, obviously). I just liked the single cover and their name. Whenever I hear them play it live, it still brings me to tears.
  4. Yeah, they always switch instruments on Helicon 1. I'm assuming it's because Stuart wrote it. And Stuart always sits down when they play Helicon 1.
  5. Warners would be foolish to not capitalize on the demand for this. I wouldn't be surprised if they reissued each show as their own stand alone album on vinyl.
  6. For the overruns, I wonder if the random colored vinyl means that's they're randomly paired. In other words, is it that you'll get a brown vinyl set or a purple vinyl set. OR if you'll get a double LP that's a brown vinyl LP1 and a tie-dye LP2.
  7. Goddamn, that is a great setlist. Xmas Steps, Ithica, We're No Here and Mogwai Fear Satan all in one show.
  8. They've been doing some CODY stuff on this tour. I got lucky with the L.A. show and they did Ex-Cowboy. The Bright Light fansite shows what songs they've done on the tour this year so far. http://www.youngteam.co.uk/brightlight/eng/gigs14.php
  9. The first time I saw them live in '99, I had no idea how loud they were as a live band and I didn't have earplugs with me. They opened with Mogwai Fear Satan. At that point, there were still doing 15+ minute versions of it with Stuart joining in on the drums at the end. And since it was the first time I saw them, I also wasn't aware of the big dynamic change from really quiet to crazy loud. I nearly had a heart attack because it was completely unexpected. Needless to say, that was the first and only time I didn't wear earplugs at a Mogwai show. I've seen them 10 times now and they've done Mogwai Fear Satan at almost every show and it still excites me every time. I especially love it when they segue into it from another song. At the Belly Up show last week, they segued from Hunted By a Freak. On the Happy Songs tour, they segued from Kids Will Be Skeletons.

  11. I don't remember the last time I posted in here but here's my updated list of test presses. I've never contacted a label for a test press. I've gotten all of mine from finds at shops. 2 of the tests were records that my bands put out. Blink-182 - Enema of the State - LP Boris - Vein (Rock Version) - LP Crusties - Don’t You Think - 7" Single De La Soul - 3 Feet and Rising - Double LP Descendents - Liveage - LP The Monkees - Head - LP New Monkees - New Monkees - LP Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Belong - LP The Perverts - Bop Yer Baloney - LP Prince - Controversy - LP Prince - Dirty Mind - LP Quan and the Chinese Take-Outs - Poorman Street/Crazy Pills - 7" Single Ramones - Leave Home - LP Ramones - Ramones - LP Ramones - Rocket to Russia - LP Rush - Vapor Trails Remixed - Double LP Slowdive - Holding Our Breath e.p. - 12" Single Stereolab - Peng! - LP Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry - LP Why Bother? - This Isn't Very Good - 12" Single
  12. Really happy that I bought a copy. I honestly didn't think 3100 copies would have sold out this soon at that price
  13. The new represses of this and "Young Mountain" are up at Magic Bullet now.
  14. It wasn't worth the $170 shipped from T&G. I was still on the fence until I saw the documentary, which was really good. So that coupled with the rest of the box set's content, I felt it was worth the $120 from Amazon.
  15. My copy just shipped from Amazon Canada. $119ppd was definitely worth the price.
  16. There was a sticker saying it was colored vinyl. It was $20.98, which was a pretty big mark up since I got mine for $14. TWDY already posted a pic of the repress on their Instagram so I'm hoping the announcement is about a new album.
  17. I saw the new pressing at Amoeba yesterday so it's starting to hit the shops.
  18. It's not technically a bootleg but if I remember correctly, the band never gave Jetset (the label they had licensed it to in the US) permission to repress the album (as a 12" or double 10") in 2004 and they were surprised when they started seeing copies of the double 10" being sold.
  19. I have both presses of Ten Rapid. I don't recall any difference in sound quality. I guess the biggest disadvantage is that the double 10" requires more side flipping. The 12" would probably be easier and cheaper to find since the double 10" was a smaller press and individually hand-numbered, not to mention not authorized by the band.
  20. I saw this in a bunch of shops over the weekend. Is there supposed to be an actual RSD variant or was it just schedule to be released on RSD?
  21. American Football - American Football e.p. - 180g 12" Single Aphex Twin - Windowlicker - 12" Single Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon - LP Descendents - Milo Goes to College - LP - Original New Alliance Pressing with lyric sheet NOFX - Frisbee - LP OFF! - Wasted Years - Red Vinyl LP Primal Scream - Don't Fight It, Feel It - Promo 12" Single Suicide - Suicide - LP This Will Destroy You - This Will Destroy You - Double Clear Vinyl LP - Gatefold Sleeve with Original Artwork Thursday - Full Collapse - LP Torche - Keep Up/Leather Feather - Clear with Splatter Vinyl 7" Single - 220/525
  22. I got mine at Cobraside. I'm pretty sure no stores have this in stock just yet. Cobraside just got their copies at their distro this past week. The band just got their copies this week as well. I would expect Magic Bullet will have this for sale soon.
  23. Picked up a copy of the new press as well. Glad they used the original CD artwork and changed the center labels. Also, there are both black vinyl and clear vinyl pressings for this repress.
  24. Good to see them rounding up a lot of the outtakes from this era. I'm happy to finally have the Travels in Constants tracks and Nick Drake on vinyl. Also happy to have Hugh Dallas on a proper Mogwai album. That song really should have been on the album.
