  1. They're not songs about baseball at all, haha. It's just a theme...the band is from Chicago, big baseball fans.
  2. $22 for LP + 7" isn't that bad when you consider that the licensing for this was clearly a pain in the ass for them. Lobster Records must have been really reluctant to push this out. $15 LP + $7 7-inch isn't bad.
  3. My personal email is thomas at paperandplastick dot com and I'm always on my phone, so if you find yourself having an issue with the sale, feel free to email me. The sale only lasts six hours so I'll be getting back to people as fast as I can that day. I'm sure it will run smoothly though.
  4. Shipping prices last time were not jacked up - they were just ridiculous because people were including like 10 LPs in an order, and we had shipping set up the wrong way. We never noticed it (in the time that we had switched to our new webstore) because it never happened all at once like that. We fixed the shipping during the last sale, and this sale will be $4 shipping per LP ($3 for 7") and an additional 50 cents per extra 12" or 7" for domestic orders. LPs will come out to about $4 each. This means that you'd get, for example, 5 LPs for about $26.50 including shipping. $5 a pop isn't bad, right? I can't remember the last time I bought 5 new LPs at that price together. The products that are not included are: Flatfoot 56, Chad Gilbert, Anthony Raneri, the Peanuts poster, MDAM Part + Parcel, our new t-shirts, some other random shit. If I was someone who wanted to order something in this sale, I would NOT order t-shirts with the LPs because that's when you're going to see your shipping cost jacked up. The shipping prices will not change from whatever you see now - I'm not sure why people thought we "jacked them up" before. We fixed the problem after the first 3 hours of the $4 Footlong sale... - We got a couple of emails about the Junior Battles b-side...I'm going to say about 4 emails in total and they were all of the red variant...and I replaced all of those. Emailing customer service goes a long way and I usually never hesitate to replace a record that's not working. - Break Anchor will be included in the sale...that's like a $2 7-inch or something along those lines. - Whoever said they saw that shipping for two LPs was $15 (if you're shipping domestic) is a liar. - Greenland Is Melting is on hold because of art and a complicated jacket diecut. - MDAM's LP is in the sale but not Part and Parcel as I noted above. I'm expecting all the End Measured Mile third pressings to sell out. This stuff will begin shipping on the 5th but we have the 6th as a day off, so if you place an order of only on-sale items, it'll probably be shipping next week.
  5. yes. we're figuring it out and we'll make an announcement soon. i'll post it here when we do. i'm hoping that the plant will just make more coffee ones so it isn't complicated.
  6. They've already started shipping. Our interns aren't full-time, but you should be getting shipping confirmation soon. We might be short a couple dozen of the coffee variant, though...so it might take a little longer for some of the orders. If we can't replace orders with new coffee variants, we're going to do something else that no one has really ever done before.
  7. When Package 1 sells out (will be sooner rather than later), we'll see how many Package 2 have been sold and might make baseball vinyl available otherwise...but I wouldn't count on it with the way it's selling. Package 2 would be your best bet to get that one I feel.
  8. We're still a month out from the street date. You can expect these to ship on time like every preorder we've done since last July.
  9. Oh I'm definitely buying that. Any word on when those will be available? Gaslight wrote on their blog that it'd be soon...
  10. The baseball cards and pennant are really rad though! Not something you usually see in packages.
  11. http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/ http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/ http://paperplastick.limitedrun.com/ Here's the pressing info: "Baseball" vinyl - white vinyl with two rust-colored streaks on the sides to look like a baseball - limited to 200 Clear smoke black/grey vinyl - limited to 300 Rust vinyl - limited to 700 The baseball vinyl is limited to the top 2 packages. The biggest package comes with a custom Flatfoot 56 baseball jersey that you get to put your own name (or whatever name you want) on the back of it, along with baseball cards of the band, a baseball pennant, and a CD. The second-biggest package is all that shit minus the jersey. The clear smoke comes with the cards, pennant and CD. The rust is available alone or with t-shirt/CD. Each of the preorder pages has streams of three songs from the CD, plus digital downloads are delivered immediately!
  12. Did you actually buy that package or just go through the pages to see what shipping was? If you did buy it...that's amazing. Good for you.
  13. PM me if you want to buy these...also will accept trades. Just let me know if you're interested and I'll look at your tradelist. Park | It Won't Snow Where You're Going | Test Press /35 Park | No Signal | Test Press /35 2xLP
  14. I think having really limited variants is cool and that's how I always used to decide which to get, but now I always go for the color that best matches the cover.
  15. What is that River City Extension/Kevin Devine split? I've never heard of it. Is there a place I can listen to it before I ask you about buying?
  16. Signed up for it...I would have easily paid more. Awesome fan club. Best part is definitely the preorder show tickets although I'm excited to see what they do with the 7"s.
  17. I was going to suggest the Carbon Espirit - been researching these the past couple of days. Nice choice.
  18. I was in a shitty mood today and I didn't take any photos. I'll post pics of all four variants here tomorrow. People will be pleased with the clear/red stripe as well, and the clear yellow. Which the plant decided to label as "light beer" haha
  19. Update for these 12"s. We got in all the variants except the coffee. However, we haven't gotten the What's Eating Gilbert 7"s yet. So if you ordered a non-coffee variant without a Gilbert 7", your order is shipping tomorrow or Friday. We actually did get a few of the coffee ones...contacted the plant to figure out where the fuck the rest are...and they're RAD. They smell really, really strongly of coffee, to the point that the paper sleeve had like coffee stains on it (which I thought was really freaky) ... and you can sort of feel the coffee grounds if you touch the vinyl, but it doesn't get on your fingers. It's weird because when we did the Hellmouth bible ashes, the ash got all over your hands. With this one, it's like the coffee is literally entrapped in the clear vinyl, and you can still feel it but it's not falling off or anything. It's a given that the sound quality will be affected. Turned out even cooler than I imagined.
  20. I think the vinyl options are interesting. And while I REALLY wish there was an LP/7" combo, thinking about it from the label's perspective, it's a smart move. The black shirt is cool enough for a fan of the band, the CD being signed is a neat perk, and if you collect vinyl...you want that 7". I bet plenty of people purchased that bundle, then added the LP for $15. The 12" being limited to 500 is pretty cool too, considering the band is pretty big. I would have gone with the LP/7" combo right away though. Oh, and this record is absolutely worth the $45 for all that together. If you liked the last one at all...this one is just better. The real sucky thing is that shipping jumps from $5 to $11 with the bundle + LP as opposed to just the LP.
  21. The box is gorgeous. Well worth the price. If you're a big fan of the band, don't hesitate once you get the funds. I consider it a prize, but I have loved this band for a long long time.
