I know. But since this preorder was up so long and the price even dropped for a second time there, I was sure it was going through. Plus its kind of hard to keep track of everything and cancel on time (this is not my only pre-order of course, I have stuff coming in all the time

I got mine from amazon.ca this week. First I inspected all the records during the evening and found only two-three records which were obviously warped and had "no-fill" issues. I wrote to amazon.ca about it whether they could just send me the two records as a replacement individually - two hours later I got an response that they cannot do that and that they already made a new order, plus I will have to send the box back. They didnt even ask me whether I was okay with this, the wheels were already in motion (my credit card booked for the new order etc). Now here is the catch, I live in eastern europe, so I checked that sending back the box would be at least 80 USD!, of course they would be paying for it, but thats still insane - they could of have just send me the albums individually. Secondly, I paid the customs taxes for this box set, which were 80 USD and now I have to pay the customs taxes again for the second box set. The only "bright side" is that the next day I started to flip the records during daylight and saw that actually ALL of the records besides two had scuff marks, were warped or had "no-fill" issues. What The Fuck? So now Im waiting for the replacement box (which for a weird reason hasnt still been shipped yet) and hope for the best. I think in the end I have to get the european pressing anyway, but thats like 100 USD more even after the customs taxes for the US version. Anyone know a good place (besides european amazon sites and whatrecords) where I can order this for a good price? My local store is selling this for 380 euros. edit: Actually, Im not blaming amazon.ca for all of this, they are doing all they can, I can see that, but the quality control for this whole box set has been so bad that its insane...

Well, I totally get it why they canceled, but what pisses me off is that they lied why they canceled. Plus I canceled all my other preorders for this and the price has already gone up on the other ones when I preorder them now.

Does anyone have any information on the differences between the records which were pressed in USA vs Europe. I see that one reviewer mentioned on amazon that european pressing is "better" and I quote: "...European manufactured pressing appear to be outstanding!" I have the USA version and some of the records are warped and at least half of them are scuffed or with some weird residue which wont come off with cleaning. WTF?

Are you talking about vinyl vs digital or just in general? And about mix, not mastering? I havent received mine, yet.

So I just "discovered" that the regular version of this is a picture disc? The one in the box isnt?

Has anyone asked amazon.com or amazon.ca how they are going to pack these? If they put it into one of these huge boxes and add some random paper or airbags then it definitely will arrive all fucked up. I can imagine how a heavy record box like this will move inside that box.

Posted this already at hevydevy forum, might as well post here too: So, apparently For Those Aboot To Rock has been released on vinyl recently. I have only seen one ebay listing so far (with the vinyl picture itself). It is released under Black Sleeves which I think is a Spain record company of some sorts. I know that some Hypocrisy records were released under Black Sleeves couple of years ago, they were all double records but with no gatefold sleeve. This seems like its made the same way. Bummer. Anyone have any order links for this? I cant even find the companies official site on google (because of the unsearchable name). Cheers

If I had to choose whether to pay 35 GBP for a 20 year old rare record which comes from the labels warehouse OR a record which has been on 3 different continents for the last 20 years, I would choose the first one in a heartbeat. I did get the Domination first press from Earache couple of years ago and the condition was perfect. So they must found more, again.
