  1. Couple of years ago I visited Finland (Helsinki) and one of their biggest retail seller (Anttila) was selling all the Beatles albums, sealed. I didnt buy any of these (stupid me), but has anyone an idea what pressings these might have been? They were definitely not bootlegs.
  2. I dont have the record with me right now but can anyone comment on this White Album which I got couple of years ago from a clueless flea market seller for 8 dollars (considering the part of world I live in - eastern europe) - the logo is embossed, not numbered, all the texts and pictures on the jacket are green, includes the regular poster and the postcards. Im sure its an australian pressing but from what year this might be? 80-s? 90-s?
  3. Which reminds me. Does anyone have the original pressing of Frost? The reissue cover seems pixelated - is the original the same way? Osmose usually has the highest quality reissues, its kind of hard to believe they would resize the CD cover.
  4. Well, Enslaved has never had the pure black metal lo-fi sound like Burzum, Darkthrone etc. If someone likes RIITIIR, they should also like Frost for example, IMO
  5. Enslaved is the Opeth of Norway, their catalogue is super consistent and each album is almost entirely different than the last (the new one and Axioma Ethica Odini are the most similar though), cant recommend them enough - even their first black metal period albums are great. ... and all their albums are released on vinyl, I have almost all of them. The only record which has sound problems is Axioma Ethica Odini, which is just too compressed.
  6. I dont get it, is the sleeve coloured as the previous limited edition one or silver (meaning: grey, not coloured)?
  7. The vinyl labels are black and the text on them red and white, so I think they tried to fit it with the album cover colors.
  8. Both are white. The first LP is the album and the second one is a bootleg recording of I Get Wet songs and some demos. If I remember correctly, the CD version has more songs on the bonus CD than the vinyl - makes sense because of the time limit though.
  9. Got it today. As expected, fitting this album on to one LP (and to a coloured one) was a bad decision, again. Should of have been 2LP and 45RPM. The distortion in inner grooves is almost unbearable, I can imagine it will get even worse in a couple of listens.
  10. I havent seen the lengths, hence the question mark Self-titled is definitely their worst, but definitely better than some other bands best.
  11. There are many videos in youtube which show the differences between the mono and stereo recordings. Sometimes even the vocal tracks are completely different, I didnt know that until yesterday.
  12. Has anyone seen the track lengths? Is it going to be a double lp?
  13. Yes, it is. How about the third one? It seems it is black and the D side is etched?
  14. Thats what I said. Im not putting her or this song down, but the people who made the decision that she should sing the song just because she is so popular. She doesnt fit the James Bond trademark image, at all.
  15. Usually the women/men who sing the Bond theme songs have been very strong characters with that untouchable mystique (Tina Turner, that chick from Garbage, Chris Cornell etc ). Adele on the other hand has a totally different presence in that regard. The only reason I can see why they chose her is that the Bond trademark is fading and they need a multi-million selling artist to just sell the movie better.
  16. What a weird artist choise. Lana Del Rey-s first album was full of James Bond type theme songs, why they didnt choose her? Sorry, but Adele is a like a young Susan Boyle for me, totally unffited to James Bond theme
  17. If you receive these, please tell us whether the BHAR is 1LP or 2LP. I suspect its 1LP.
  18. Apparently the new album is recorded on tape and digitally simultaneously (for the quieter passages).
  19. A question, guys. Just got myself the Born To Die 2LP (the european pressing, with bonus tracks). Dont know if the US or European pressing differ. My copy seems to have a lot of hairlines (those tiny little scratches when the records have probably rubbed against each other while in factory) but it doesnt affect the playback. Instead, there is a lot of sibilance on side A ("Video Games" mostly). Is it just me (bad luck with the hairlines and bad cartridge alignment during the inner grooves)?
