Does anyone know if Deathwish mark their packages low value/gift or do I have to specifically ask them (trying to avoid the import tax)? I suppose I have to write them anyway so that they remove the record from the sleeve to avoid splits... anyone asked them before?

Well, after seeing the Diamond Eyes songs played live, they became hundred times better, at least for me. I would prefer Diamond Eyes even to White Pony most of the days. The only thing that I dont like about Diamond Eyes is that on the white vinyl version, the inner groove tracks do not sound that good (too much high end). At least on my setup.

Managed to order the 180 black, I think. Had an "fatal error" or something after the paypal checkout. Credit card was billed though - looked up at the internet bank account and paypal account.

All my 700 records are like that - in their inner sleeve but outside the jacket. I use the clear PVC plastic sleeves of course too. The only disadvantage is that the jackets doesnt look as cool when you are browsing them and records overall take more shelf space. But if you are listening to a record, you will take the inner sleeve out anyway, so all is good. And the main reason - no splits or tears or ringwear whatsoever.

Mine was shipped from amazon.com couple of days ago. I preordered it well ahead.

I do like the direction and hope they are continuing with it.

As I wrote on the Devin forum: Does anyone know which one is limited (black or coloured)? What are the vinyl weights? And which one the other distros (amazon stores, Nuclear Blast etc) will get? I want to get both but Im just too afraid to order any records from omerch again - terrible mailers.

We can hope. All PoS records are released under InsideOut, so they (or the band) must have the master tapes somewhere or at least they should have all the rights to use them. Does anyone know, which PoS albums were recorded on tape and which digitally?

Im sure they will release the other PoS records too. It would be weird to release only one.

So, I now have two copies of the regular black edition (one from Europe and one from US). The biggest difference I found at first glance is that the deadwax is different and even the vinyl weight differs by 200 grams. edit: I forgot which one was heavier, probably the EU one. Will have to check again If I get home

Nuclear Blast mailorder (nuclearblast.de) is the best! I have had some seriously damaged items (during shipping) and warped records from them recently and they have been the best way helpful to sort the problems out. Very-very nice of them!

Leave them the packaging feedback, otherwise things wont change. Ive started to leave feedback to amazon.com and they mostly send my records in the record mailer now.' I live in Europe

Got the Reinventing The Steel yesterday. I have the original CD pressing in another town but did they crop the artwork from the CD for this? I believe the front cover had some parental advisory sticker down below.

Received mine today and Im kind of underwhelmed. Single sleeve (no gatefold), the records are probably 140g, maybe even 120g. At least it arrived here in mint condition - single sleeves are always a lottery. But I guess its a good thing I finally have it

Received blue from grooves inc (actually it was a marketplace seller at amazon.de called "giag", turned out its grooves inc too) and its black. Ordered red also (different order), but it hasn arrived yet.

Got mine straight from Nuclear Blast Germany. The sleeve is almost an inch longer than other records, which is weird. All my copies are a little bit warped too, unfortunately. Otherwise everything is great, the sound is excellent (45 RPM), didnt listen all the way through yet. But I would still rate the first press (Night Of The Vinyl Dead) better packaging wise, even if it wasnt gatefold. This record didnt have great artwork to begin with, so having even more space for artwork, isnt making it better.

Agreed, the Weightless isnt even half that good.

I have been waiting for that repress for two years.
