there was absolutely nothing different about the fall out boy and nirvana "exclusives" last year either, they just slapped a number on it.

i hate this, the customer isnt always right. in the interest of fairness, i bought the 7" deal and i was more than happy with what i got as well as the packaging. extra fox, any chance we can see pics of the actual records? did they come banged up?

to be fair, its not necessarily what it's shipped inside but the reinforcement that matters. a bubble lined mailer alone would be horrible because there is no sturdiness, but if the record is put in a sleeve and then sandwiched between 2 strong cardboard inserts with a little tape on either side to keep it in place then its not the worst packing in the world. having said that, i personally use cruciform mailers, inserts and sometimes bubble wrap if need be, but that can get pretty expensive.
