  1. those weeknd cassettes are up on the website now, still no sign of drive though
  2. I'm looking for the Urban Outfitters version with the alternative artwork. Also would be interested in the orange/green boots, the original with the 7" and, longshot, the pic disc promo. I'm up for buying or trading, let me know if you wanna check out my tradelist. I'm in the UK. Thanks Edit: Seen how much they go for
  3. there was a guy selling one on discogs yesterday for around $15 but shipping was too expensive so i passed. its gone now but im sure more will pop up.
  4. like others in this thread, i buy a fraction of what i used to simply because prices have sky rocketed. when i first started collecting in 2005, i was 15 and making about £50 a week... i would go into hmv where they sold 7" singles for 99p, the 1st one i ever bought was sugar were going down by fall out boy. i remember you could get 3 versions, one of which was signed by the whole band, for £5. 7" singles now are £7.99 ish for 2 songs. i went into hmv a few weeks ago and they were selling the 1975 for £28, thats the equivalent of $40. its not the economy thats gonna bring an end to the hobby, its the exorbitant prices charged due to the rising popularity of vinyl.
  5. Cheers. Looks like if you subscribe to this months you get a past secret soundtrack for free, so basically charlie and the chocolate factor or tinker tailor soldier spy.
  6. anybody know what this months secret soundtrack is? im gonna give them 1 more try before i cancel
  7. I wouldn't mind paying a few extra $ for international shipping if I could ensure the parcel wouldn't be hit by customs on the way in. The main reason I don't buy from hot topic anymore is because I'm 99% certain I'll get a bill for £27 or whatever on top of the $45 I paid for postage. The threshold at which they start charging customs fees in the UK is £15 and from my understanding that figure includes the cost for p&p, so you're pretty much guaranteed to incur at least an £8 charge.
  8. watched fruitvale station last night on netflix, pretty powerful stuff.
  9. currently reading gangster squad by paul lieberman, its a bit of slog because theres so many names and stories but nevertheless its pretty interesting.
  10. good question! i chose into the wild because when i was 17 i was obsessed with the story of chris mccandless and consumed everything to do with him. it also kick started my love of jon krakauer, i actually prefer his other books into thin air and under the banner of heaven, but into the wild holds a lot of sentimental value for me hence its entry on my list. ive grown up a bit now so i dont see him in quite the same way. if youre interested in mccandless its worth checking out "the wild truth" by his sister, carine mccandless, as it gives another perspective on what happened and kind of illuminates why he did what he did. not an amazing book but provides some interesting insight.
  11. ah i understand, i feel the same way about the silence of the lambs although i absolutely love the book. jurassic park is what reading is all about for me, just great story telling, and the same reason movies like JP and the goonies are my favourites. i agree movie hammond is much better, book hammond is a bastard.
