  2. Hi guys! For anyone in the Toronto Canada area, I'm opening up a little record store in the Roncesvalles area called 'Tonality Records'! We're set to open in a couple of weeks, our address is 2168 Dundas Street West, M6R 1X3. Right off the bat I'll tell you that we're stocking mainly new releases by small indie and art labels. Graveface, PIAPTK, Slumberland, Bitter Melody, Jigsaw, Ordinal, LebensStrasse, Partisan, Polyvinyl and Bleeding Gold to name a few. We'll also have vintage radios and other audio stuff, as well as a few guitars. If this is up your alley, come by to say hi, mention VC and I'll give you a 10% discount! I'll be updating again soon with a formal opening date. Cheers, Julian

  5. For me vinyl creates an atmosphere all on its own but there are many ways that vinyl can be played in conjunction with another type of atmosphere (solo, candle lit, community, drugs, alcohol, etc) lol My personal favorite seems to be late at night after the wife has gone to bed i go into the music room, search the shelf for something that calls my name... pour a whiskey, drop the needle and lean back in the recliner. Whats your favorite way to EXPERIENCE vinyl?

  11. Matt Duncan Beacon - SSR-06 http://soulsteprecords.com/buynow/matt-duncan-beacon Matt Duncan, the guy who released the tarot card vinyl, is releasing his debut EP for the first time on vinyl through Soul Step Records. Soul Step describes the Confetti-Bomb record as, "Our special vinyl will be as such. CLEAR vinyl with multi-color splatter. These are going to look like a Confetti-Bomb. This record release is a celebration for us - so we figured it's appropriate. ONLY 100 will be made. Once these sell out- they are gone. This is our first record cut at 45RPM. This means that cutting deeper grooves = more sound quality gets packed into this record. We wanted a great sounding record. We think it delivers. The best secret of all.....well let's say this. Once you get the vinyl and put on the B-Side.... Just keep playing the record. That's all we are saying for now." Here's a link to the stream of the album: https://mattduncan.bandcamp.com/album/beacon
  12. Hey guys, I started an online record store about two years ago, sold on ebay mostly. I recently switched everything over to a Square store. I sell new and used records, cd's and music dvd's. We're on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram or you can email directly at WretchedWorldVinyl (at) gmail (dot) com. Most of the stuff is between $8 and $30, depending on the item and the condition. Thanks for looking! http://www.WretchedWorldVinyl.com and here's my ebay user name so you can see some of the reviews i've gotten. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=wretched_world_vinyl&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc

  15. Hello everyone, I've got a new series of CD/Vinyl Hybrid singles that I call CD-Records. They play on your turntable and in your CD Player. Same song in analog and digital format. Available as a set or individually. Includes a custom center-spindle adapter. I'm releasing 50 of each (they are all limited to 100-300 copies) ahead of the official pre-order to try to gauge interest in the lesser known artists before my PR campaign launches later this month. The line up is pretty incredible, in my opinion. Scott Mcmicken (Dr. Dog), Jason Lytle (Grandaddy), Circulatory System, Little Wings, Wooden Wand, Simon Joyner, Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), R Stevie Moore, Benoit Pioulard, Julian Gasc (Stereolab), Spaceface (mem of the Flaming Lips), The Blank Tapes, This Frontier Needs Heroes, Juston Stens, Great Lakes, Cory Gray, Briana Marela, Assateague, LABRYYYNTH, American Monoxide, Graves. www.PIAPTK.com
  16. Preorders for the Totally Slow//Black Market split 7" are now live in our webstore, so you should go check it out!!! Both bands are really awesome and are some of the best kept secret bands of the southeast. Totally Slow features ex members of Rights Reserved, Eagle Bravo, Manamid, Decoration Ghost and so many more. We released their debut LP in 2013 and it is really awesome, if you haven't checked it out, you really are missing out! The best years of California pop-punk and early Merge Records, rolled into one. Black Market is a little bit newer, but all members have definitely "done their time" in the "scene," for lack of a better way to describe them. Features ex members of Light the Fuse and Run (RVA- Level Plane Records, known for their split with Hot Cross) and Forcefedglass (MA- featuring Ben Koller of Converge). Black Market sounds nothing like those bands. Instead of spazzy post-hardcore or blistering fast punk, Black Market is more garage rock sensibility with 90s punks intensity. Basically loud post hardcore that knows when to get loud, but also knows when to get crazy. It'll make sense when you hear it. The band previously released a collection of their 2013 EPs, "One Year Old," via Death to False Hope Records. Totally Slow will be playing THE FEST on Saturday, November 1st at Durty Nelly's. The band will have advance copies of the split (tests) in a very very limited quantity. If you are interested in picking this variant up, then make a beeline to the venue and nab it up. The 7" EP is limited to 300 copies of randomly mixed color vinyl. The release features 4 new tracks (2 from each band) on the record w/ two additional digital only songs! The digital versions are covers of each others songs. This was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kris Hilbert at Legitimate Business. Side A: 1. Totally Slow- Blank Paper Sides 2. Black Market- Hangover Hobby Kit Side B: 3. Black Market- No Brain 4. Totally Slow- The End of Air Digital only: 1. Black Market- Phone (Totally Slow) 2. Totally Slow- Basement Dweller (Black Market) Under The Gun Review premiered a Black Market track, "No Brain," from the split, so make sure you check that out as well. http://www.underthegunreview.net/2014/09/29/utg-premiere-black-market-no-brain/ PREORDER HERE!!! 17. So I was coming back to Seattle today after seeing Nine Inch Nails / Soundgarden in San Francisco and I finally had the chance to stop by Sub Pop's new store that is located in the SeaTac airport. This place was AWESOME. Loads of Loser edition vinyl as well as a few RSD stuff. I asked one of the employees if they knew anything about their store being included in Record Store Day and she said that if its getting released by Sub Pop, they will most likely receive one box of each title but thats it. If you ever fly into Seattle, you need to swing by Terminal C and take a look at their stuff. Sadly, you cannot just walk into SeaTac and head right to their store since its located inside the terminal and you need a plane ticket to get in Here are some photos I took today as well as a video I found on YouTube. (side note, they had two albums signed by The Head & The Heart at what looked like a listening station but they were not for sale. I ended up picking up a Sub Pop slipmat and its REALLY high quality) (EDIT: If you click on the photos of the records you should be taken to my Photobucket where you can then zoom in closer to see each title)

  19. Hi there, first time user here, but long time collector. I've been collecting vinyl and cassettes for a while now (7 years), but there is one record/cassette that is making me stumped for years now (4 to be exact). The record/cassette is Lisa Lougheed's Evergreen Nights from 1987/1988 from Canada. It's been a search that never seems to stop. I've looked through countless number of thrift shops, garage sales/yard sales, and music stores, and have only came across the two singles from the album; Ain't No Planes and Run With Us, but still not the album I've been looking for. So then, several years ago, I was introduced into buying records online and decided to look through the internet. I searched through Ebay (though, always weary about that site), Music Stacks, Amazon, Gemm, and Discogs. While on Discogs, I saw people who ("supposedly") owned the record/cassette and noticed I could message those people. So, I asked everyone who owned the vinyl and the cassette, and either recieved no message or was greeted with verbal explictives proclaiming that they will never sell/trade the record for anything. But there was one person on there that was interested in selling their copy, but that person terminated their account over a year ago (and no, didn't get his email address, nor contact info). So, looking online for this record for the past three years has either turned up nothing, too late to buy it or finding a person who owns it, but is too stubborn to message me. I'm almost fed up with finding this record/cassette, and am losing faith everyday for looking for this record/cassette and coming up empty, nearly 100% of the time. As I've said before, I am new to the forum side of the internet (just started my account on here a few hours ago) but I'm hoping this can aide me in my search for Lisa Lougheed's Evergreen Night album (or cassette). I'm asking if anyone on here has or knows anyone that has Evergreen Nights Vinyl or Cassette. Or if I can contact someone to help me find this record, because I've read somewhere about "Record Finders" (people that find records for people) but I haven't found a single person that does that yet. Any information on finding this record would help, and thanks for reading! -DZ95
