  1. Hello, I would like to buy The Love Club 10" by Lorde. If you have anything else of Lorde on vinyl let me know. Thank you!
  2. Hi Guys, Firstly, hope this is OK to post. As a collector myself, admittedly not of vinyl particularly, i'd like to introduce a new app my company (Tactile Solutions) have just released into the App Store! At the moment, it is completely free with no In-App-Purchases or Ad's. Hence me drawing your attention to it now! All we ask if you could possibly leave a review on the app store, with any additional features you'd like to see! We're already working on integrating with social media and ebay etc - if there's a a way we can integrate directly into this forum i'd be happy to work on that too! (Admin's feel free to get in touch). With 'My Collections Organiser' you can now simply scan a barcode of an item you have bought and store them into any category you want, all on your iOS device! The app will automatically identify your biggest and best categories and make it easy, quick and fun to browse through them! In one app, you can keep a record of all your collections in an easy, manageable and convenient way. The Main Features: * Scans barcodes and retrieves the name of the items along with a photo (if available). * Manual name entry if your item is not found on the database via barcode. * Totally Unique, user definable categories. Items without barcodes? Not a problem! Add absolutely anything with our manual add function. * Multi / Batch Scan - Got loads to scan? Scan them all at one time, put your feet up and let 'My Collections Organiser' do the work for you, looking up multiple item information and automatically adding them to your selected category. * Store items into any category you wish and select a stored item to bring up a photo, the full item name and when the item was added to the category. You can create as many as you like, so go crazy! * Lists & User Defined Information. Fed up of being restricted on what information you can store about your items? Now you can create your own fields, storing whatever information you want to. * Instant Item Checker - In a shop? Can't remember if you've got that film or not? Don't take the risk! Scan the item and 'My Collections Organiser' will instantly tell you if that barcode is stored somewhere in your collection. Simple! * iCloud sync, allowing you to keep track of your collections across all your iCloud-enabled devices. * E-mail a CSV export of your collections to view on your computer or anywhere else that supports the CSV file format. * Don't like E-mail? Directly access a CSV export of your collections simply by entering an address into the web browser! https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/my-collections-organiser-books/id1013962601?ls=1&mt=8

  6. hi i hope you don't mind me posting about a special 7" singles club i've been running for three and a half years now (it's due to run for seven) called wiaiwya-7777777 specifically, the latest release is an exclusive collaboration between Woodpigeon and Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub, Boy Hairdressers, Jonny): https://wiaiwya.bandcamp.com/album/brutish-birds wiaiwya-7777777 is a seven inch singles club – a very ambitious seven inch singles club. “there’s this sadness when you can’t find it on vinyl, because it’s like it’s not proper” - Pete Paphides Now in its fourth year (of seven), it is a celebration of the seven inch format, as well as all things seven. 210 lucky subscribers sign up, and get seven exclusive 45s in the post. The records are always released on the 7th of the month (one on each day of the week), and 77 days before release date just 77 copies are made available to purchase individually. “The 45rpm single, the hard, black centrepiece of the teenage revolution” – Bob Stanley For 2015 we have asked some of our favourite bands and artists to collaborate on a one off single, to try something a little different, and to prove the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. These are then being pressed onto 2 colour vinyl discs, and inserted into numbered reverse board sleeves. And, as 2015 is the first year there will be seven Star Wars films, it would be foolish not to stand their titles into the run out grooves. there's more info about subscribing here http://wiaiwya-7777777.blogspot.co.uk/ thanks John www.wiaiwya.com
  7. Hey there We are a UK auction house who specialise in sales of rare & collectable vinyl which we thought you may be interested in. We hold 6 sales per year with between 400-700 lots per sale from individual rarities to great value quality job lots. Whilst you can come and view/bid in person, we also have lots of bidders who are further afield in the UK and also worldwide and so they bid online. Highights from our 14th July sale: Summer is here! And if the heat hasn't already gotten to you, our July auction will certainly get the mercury rising... In this auction there is a whole host of fantastic lots that music lovers of all tastes should look out for, below are just some of our personal highlights. Going under the hammer are some Blossom Toes LP's, including an "ever so clean" copy of the debut album. If this doesn't get the heat rising, then perhaps lot 241 will; a super rare copy of the Hot Potato self titled LP is enough to get any "acid folk" collector enticed. We know how our valued customers are always on the look out for condition, and we can guarantee that this auction has some brilliant titles presented in astonishing nick! Lots to look out for here are 200-209, 300-313 and 400-408; they must be seen to believed! Also going under the hammer are some 1st stereo (and mono) copies of "Please Please Me", a stunning copy of Aphrodite's Child - 666, the phenomenal single studio album from Jackson C. Frank, a great copy of Spring's self titled release, and titles by Gravy Train, Mike Absalom, Gentle Giant and Juicy Lucy. As always there are some great job lots on offer, with perhaps the highlights towards the end of the auction with some fantastic Prog and Folk (including some stunning John James titles) lots being offered. So head down for our viewing day; we can't offer you freshly squeezed lemonade if the temperature gets too much for you, but free refreshments will be on offer for all you sifters out there! Checkout our slideshow of the highlights https://www.facebook.com/100005031588874/videos/457991127711936/?pnref=story Full details of the sale and link to the full catalogue with images can be found on our website http://www.omegaauctions.co.uk/vinylrecords_music_entertainment_memorabilia_auctions.php If you have any questions, we would be happy to help.... Thanks Karen Omega Auctions

  14. So I don't know if this topic belongs in this thread, but anyway... I recently bought the Skipping Stone 7" by Transit through MerchNow, which seems to be where Rise Records sells all their releases. There were two options: Clear or Burgundy. I went with Burgundy. So I waited until today for my order to come in. Everything looked perfect. The tracklist for this record goes as follows: A Side: 1. Skipping Stone B Side: 2. I Told You So 3. Forgive Forget Space (For Future Reference) This tracklist was stated on the MerchNow website, and can be found on various other websites. The tracklist is listed as this on the back of the sleeve. A lyric sheet is included and has these three song titles on it, accompanied by their lyrics. And on the record itself it has what songs are on each side. Everything matched up... Until I spun the record. Side A was correct. I flipped to Side B. "I Told You So" finished playing, and then I was met with a surprise. Instead of the correct track (Forgive Forget Space) playing, "I've Never Told That to Anyone" played, a song from Promise Nothing, a different release from the band Transit. I know Transit isn't that popular of a band, but someone on here must also have this release. So my question is, is your third track also messed up, or do you have the correct one? I'd love to get some feedback! Thanks, Matt

  17. Vinyl Debut of the album "Machine" by Static-X. Single LP on 180 gram SILVER COLORED vinyl. Limited edition of only 1000 copies. Including Insert. Gatefold Sleeve Machine is the second studio album from the American industrial metal band Static-X, released in 2001. The album can be considered post-modern Metal music, having electronics and industrial effects, and not just a pinch of electronic gadgetry. The song "Black and White" provided the album's first single and music video. The song "Cold" is used as soundtrack of the film Queen of the Damned. "This is Not" later became a second single. Machine peaked #11 on The Billboard 200 charts in 2001. http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/static-x-machine-ltd.html

Growing up in the ‘90s, you wouldn’t have heard any of the songs, from Sea of Storms’s debut LP, Dead Weight, on the radio because they hadn’t been written yet. However, if the Richmond, VA power trio had released them roughly 20 years ago, you would’ve had a chance. Growing up in a post-Nevermind era throughout different Virginian cities, the members of Sea of Storms were gripping 7”s from Richmond bands when they could and ripping off a variety of sub-genres that blended together at the time in their high school bands. When the 3/5 of the post-hardcore outfit Mouthbreather formed Sea of Storms in 2012, they brought together a varied archive of influences from Jimmy Eat World to 400 Years to Coheed and Cambria. However, Dead Weight sounds nothing like these bands. What "Dead Weight" (to be released on Tor Johnson and Self Aware Records) does sounds like is a rock record from a time when Danzig and Smashing Pumpkins were considered fresh, filtered through the distilled punk essence of late-1990s angsty indie rockers such as The Get Up Kids and Blank. Having played together for six years, Sea of Storms’ dynamics are impressive. From bassist John Martin’s rolling bass lines to drummer Chris Brown’s propulsive, metered beats, Sea of Storms has found their groove. Singer/guitarist Brandon Peck makes an excellent front man, creatively filling in space with feedback, riffs and vocals. Take, for example, the hazy rock tracks such as “Weak Ones” and “Crimson Tide”. Dramatic moments ebb and flow with a series of guitar and vocal interplay as the rhythm section holds down the fort, calling to mind Walter Screifels’ projects or a more aggressive, spaced out Hot Rod Circuit. The greatest strengths on Dead Weight are the songs themselves. Sea of Storms are able to craft well-written emotionally-tinged rock anthems without veering into the embarrassing “emo” territory (because that word meant something completely different when they first heard it). Stand out tracks in this vein include “Snake Oil” and album closer “Cedar Run”.While nodding to the past, Sea of Storms looks towards the future, looking to expand on their musical roots how they can. If you’re a fan of big guitars and songs that make you want to drive along open roads with the windows down, Dead Weight is the record you’ve been waiting for.

  21. I am sure this isn't for everyone.. but in April I went to Japan for vacation and couldn't believe how amazing the record shopping was there. I came home with so many amazing records I just never ever see in the states (original pressings of Beck, Sublime, Bjork, a gang of four test pressing, Mineral - Power of Failing, the Anniversary, Jawbreaker, etc...) Anyway, I traveled with a good friend of mine who wasn't a record collector so I spent some of my time shopping but the other bit of time I spent doing tourist-y shit..but truth be told I couldn't help what it might be like to do this trip with fellow record nerds.. so. I was thinking about going back NEXT october (not this one..) this way people can save up and all.. I thought of some cool ideas about sharing want lists and doing a lot of research in the meantime. anyway, I know some of you might not be interested or can't afford but thought it might be a fun idea to talk about .. is anyone interested?
  22. So I recently went searching on eBay and Amazon to find the vinyl version of the best Def Leppard album ever, Hysteria. I was kinda shocked when I saw the album listed at $60, $70, and $80 the price just kept getting higher the more I scrolled, but then I got a great idea so I could get the album for cheap. I just went to Amazon.co.UK and found it for £10.99 with the shipping being £1.26. After the price was converted and taxes were added it totaled to $22.00
  23. We are super excited to be working with PLOW UNITED and THE HEADIES on their split 7″. Our buddies over at Punknews will be streaming the release in full today around 4pm!!! Preorders are live NOW on our webstore. We are really stoked about working with these two amazing bands. The packaging on this record will be really awesome. The release is limited to 500, with 100 being on clear vinyl, 200 on light green, and 200 on light blue vinyl. Each release comes with a digital download card, because this is 2015, and we know what is up. http://selfawarerecords.storenvy.com/collections/13827-all-products/products/11602343-preorder-plow-united-the-headies-split-7-ep-w-digital-download Plow United will have some test press versions of the release that will be sold exclusively at Death To False Hope Festival V, which they will be performing at. Go pick it up there, or miss out on that. We will have all of these colors in stock, and also you can pick them up in one package if you are into that sort of thing. It’s seriously mind blowing to be working with such amazing bands. I’ve been a fan of Plow United for years and it is awesome watching them still kill it to this day. They have been on fire since the reunion, and we are super excited to help in a small way to keep that fire burning! Check out the webstore, go pick up the new split 7″ and some of our distro items and back catalog while you are at it. Thanks so much for the support!
