EntryLevelDave
Going on vacation to Williamsburg Virginia this week. Any good record stores in the area I should check out?
thejesseb
Dont know of any in williamsburg but if you swing up to Richmond there are a few good ones. Plan 9 music: big selection of new and used Deep Groove: A lot of newer stuff Steady Sounds: New and used indie as well as older stuff Vinyl Conflict: Amazing place if you are into Punk/Hardcore. Definitely my favorite store in Richmond. deletedunknown
amnstypls
Why Williamsburg? I went there when I was about 13 and it sucked. I guess if you are a huge history buff it won't be bad... but damn. Odd choice for a vacation for sure.
himynameisShane
Don't Know Williamsburg I live in Virginia Beach and would recommend Vinyl Daze and AFK books Birdland is alright too depending on your taste

NoFxpunkguy
vinyl Daze in Virginia Beach is the best in the area, skinnies records in norfolk is also pretty solid. But his prices are a little on the higher side. He does have a ton of hard to find metal stuff though...

I've found some great prices on rare or cool stuff, but then I have seen a lot of known "rarities" at outrageous prices. He also sells counterfeit LPs from Europe. Nateisgame
Also +1 to Vinyl Daze. Williamsburg is a fine vacation place. Checking out Busch Gardens and/or Water Country?
EntryLevelDave
Honestly? i'm actually terrified of roller coasters haha
passionbrand
all those suggestions are great. williamsburg used to have a sweet plan 9, but it went under long ago. there is an American Oldies in Newport News about 20 mins from the burg. lots of used records, not much on the newer side. also a head shop in the same town called Fantasies. They have some decent records upstairs. very small selection. Busch Gardens is rad!

Definitely my favorite store in Richmond. This. DG and VC are my favorites too. There's a new shop or two I haven't checked out yet as well. And there's a bazillion breweries to check out too. paralyticstalks
My big Virginia Beach secret spot is AFK Books. Awesome selection. I think I actually prefer them to Vinyl Daze. I run into the owner at almost all the shows I go to. Just a really awesome shop.
