rpm4
I'm not sure if many will recall this album, but (IMO) it is an absolute classic and long overdue for a reissue on vinyl. This has been a relatively hard one to find on vinyl for a decent price. Even the Simply Vinyl reissue fetches high prices if/when it pops up for sale (which is not very often) and most I have seen are listed in VG condition which would not seem to work well with Brian Eno's superb production. Anyhow, the album is receiving a wide re-release but there is a clear vinyl version that is limited to 500 that is purportedly only available for pre-order here: https://thesoundofvinyl.com/*/Limited-Edition/Laid-Limited-Edition-Clear-Vinyl/41Y004D1000 With the currency conversion, it worked out to approximately $39 shipped to the U.S., which is not bad. According to the James website, these will be numbered as well. RPM tvham
tvham
Love this album, hoping the 500 last until payday on Thurs!
xadamhudsonx
I went looking for this a while back and didn't like the prices at all on OG copies. Glad it's getting a repress, although I don't know that I want to drop $40 on a nostalgia purchase.
niblips
i loved this album but haven't listened to it in years.... not sure i want to pay that much so it can sit on my shelf not getting played.... if the black version shows up for $20 im in. timsimmons
I love James, but to me they were a better singles band than album band. I'd drop some coin on one of their best of collections, but I don't know if I could pick this up.
Parker
This is a seriously underrated album that I feel like a lot of people write-off because they only know the title track (the rest of the album is much moodier than that song). This and Wah-Wah are the two James albums I'd love to own. Unfortunately it's a bit pricy for an import...

ExtraFox
The Sound of Vinyl is just a front name for Universal Music. Wah Wah is also up on clear, though its listing says 'Exclusive' while Laid's does not. Probably doesn't mean a thing. https://thesoundofvinyl.com/*/Limited-Edition/Wah-Wah-Exclusive-Limited-Edition-Clear-Vinyl/41Y104D1000
rpm4
Not the limited clear version, but the standard black vinyl reissue is currently up on Amazon for pre-order for $30. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RDRJ9K0/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1425481397&sr=8-3&keywords=james+laidπ=AC_SX200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=51JSmnF-n-L&ref=plSrch They also have "Wah Wah" for $40. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00RDRJ9MI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1425481597&sr=8-1&keywords=james+wah+wah+vinylπ=AC_SX200_QL40&dpPl=1&dpID=41BvNeDlz9L&ref=plSrch RPM davepriz

niblips
ugh. $33.51CAD plus tax on amazon.ca that's too much for an album i'll likely play twice.
YouTwo
Born of Frustration and Say Something for me For me it's Waltzing Along. But the version that is on their "Best of", not so much the album version.
