Guest genericinsight
i think adam muzzy is a good dude. maybe a bit misguided at times, but a good dude regardless I agree.
controlthebleeding
Listening to it right now... Not too shabby.. but i prefer to rate something after listening to it for a few weeks. Usually my favorite albums are the ones who grow on me, as most albums i like right away, i tend to get burnt out easily by. Well except for Teenage Bottlerocket. keevhren
I mentioned Rise Against somewhere back there, about me enduring their screaming like I'll have to endure this album's reverb-heavy vocals. That's where he posted that from. Not sure what demo he's talking about though. transistor revolt demo... pre the unraveling. also, this album is already kinda growing on me, listened through once, definitely different, but im enjoying it. geezfools
I'm on dialup, so I only have one song, the title track. I'll get the rest tonight while I sleep. I'm in no hurry. I love the one song already and am pretty confident with the rest. I'm just hoping they'll do some other vinyl releases elsewhere, like the split with VC and other labels, besides no idea because it'll be a nightmare to keep up with the presses, lol. aestheticguitar
well this is on sideonedummy so no worries
goraiders
From the first couple listen there are no songs that jump out to me as much as the first three on Senor and the Queen. It seems like Sink or Swim is a bridge between this and Senor and the Queen which doesn't really make sense. Either way, I'm sure I'll love it. chiefwahoo
....also how many lines from other peoples songs do they blatantly rip off this time around? PS- What are some of the "blatant ripoffs" you're referring to? I don't think I've noticed any so I'm curious. glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife = meatloaf

Guest conoley
well this is on sideonedummy so no worries Chuck's album was on SOD, but No Idea did the vinyl. This can go either way, and either way I'm happy.
Guest conoley
The Gaslight Anthem is the one band I like that could be shown to a person from any walk of life and they would at least admit they're good. I can't say that about any other band.. Any other band? What about the Beatles?
thesack18
ive really been enjoying sink or swim lately. really fuckin great album. im so tempted to download this, but ill wait to get a physical copy of the album to treat my ears i think. the first time i sat down listening to swink or swim on vinyl it was awesome. hickey
Springsteen much? The opening track sounds like it could've come from a Springsteen album. Then, on track 3, they use the Springsteen line "At night I wake up with the sheets soaking wet" from I'm On Fire. Granted, after they sing the line, they immediately admit it was a lyric from another tune, but it seems on this album they're really leveraging their comparisons to The Boss.
