flicker
Let's talk strictly about some great vinyl packages that came out this year. Not just the great albums that are on vinyl, but ones with cool colored presses or intricate packaging. Pictures are always good.

monk0nuggets
I also think the Baroness and The Ocean records have the potential to be seriously amazing packages. Just check out the in about The Ocean record: http://www.codex4.org/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=3861

skumbucket
it's nothing mind-blowing in terms of die-cuts or coloured vinyl or elaborate art or anything, but the stars "in our bedroom after the war" 2xlp is totally lovely. nicely decorated sleeves, 180 gram vinyl, really fine attention to detail. i love it. amsterdamned
Whether you like em or not, the whole package of that new Coheed is awesome.
athomewithkyle
Owen/The City on Film 7" w/ tour poster and limited photos Check the Sale board. Someone from the UK is selling a Mike one (12 / 50), I referred him to you. Already posted in there. Thanks though.
jhulud
Whether you like em or not, the whole package of that new Coheed is awesome. Even though some people have been hatin' on the artwork, I have been diggin' it. When you open up that gatefold sleeve, it feels like opening up a huge comic book. It's the culmination of Claudio's comic book and sci-fi nerdiness...
scottheisel
I made a Top 5 list of "Most Beautiful LPs I bought this year" for something we're putting in next month's issue, and I believe my list was (in no order): Minus The Bear - Planet Of Ice Fear Before The March Of Flames - The Always Open Mouth Andrew W.K. - Close Calls With Brick Walls Mono - Gone Chuck Ragan - Feast Or Famine
jhulud
Minus The Bear - Planet Of IceFear Before The March Of Flames - The Always Open Mouth Both great choices!
djjazzyjeff
EITS would be pretty high up there for the sweet D-side etching. Planet of Ice definitely, and still holding out hope for Baroness and Caspian, both should be really nice. Jesu - Lifeline is great too... shit, way too many good ones. skumbucket
Chuck Ragan - Feast Or Famine that was also a crazy-gorgeous packaging...good call.
kurtmanner
Minus The Bear - Planet Of Ice Mono - Gone These are probably my top two as well. Although, I pick MTB mostly due to awesome artwork along with 6 killer colors, but Mono might take the cake with Gone. It's just incredible packaging and the three differently colored records are kick ass. I must say, overall, this has been an awesome year for releases.
