Justinadamk
Half Chestnut Brown Half Linen White W/ White Splatter • Limited to 500 - https://velocityrecords.com/collections/dead-american/products/deamnwnocb-lp Dead American was born out of timing, patience, and waiting for the right moment. In 2016, Cove Reber (formerly of Saosin) was introduced to Chad Jordan through a mutual friend. At the time, Chad was looking to complete some instrumental compositions he had written throughout his musical career that were lacking vocals. Chad began sending these self-recorded demos to Cove through email, resulting in Cove demoing vocals to them in the following months. Songs from the bands debut EP “The Shape Of Punk Is Dumb” began to take form in the coming year, with the duo heading into Rigby Road Studios in Salt Lake City with producer and engineer, Joel Pack, in the winter of 2017. The EP was completed and mastered in the middle of 2018 and released in October later that year. Since their debut in 2018, Dead American has toured and played shows with bands such as Beartooth, Of Mice And Men, Hands Like Houses, Currents, Saosin, Lower Definition, Eve 6, The Fall Of Troy, and Night Verses. In December of 2019, Dead American entered the studio with producer Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold, Death By Stereo, Atreyu) to begin work on their first full length record. “This album is truly the most honest I’ve ever been with myself and the most accurate representation of who I am as an artist,” says Singer Cove Reber on his most accomplished body of work. After nearly 18 months of writing and recording their debut LP, the band penned a deal with newly reborn Velocity Records. With record in hand and 2020 now in the past, Dead American is now ready to share with you some New Nostalgia. DA is Cove Reber, Chad Jordan and Kyle Rosa. keoki

Album is a 1000 times better than the last album Cove did with Saosin. Some fire tracks but the ballads really shine imo, which has always been Cove's strong point. Juturna90
Agreed. This album is fantastic. Hate Speech isn’t included on the vinyl though even though it’s listed on the jacket. Asked merchnow and they asked velocity records and basically said it passed the test presses so they’re not going to fix it but offered a refund. Not sure how they passed it when it’s missing a song. They're probably trying to say that it's the band's fault and that they should have rejected the test press when it came to them... which I guess is true. Kind of a ridiculous oversight. TonyPerkins
I've been listening to the Saosin self titled record a ton this year. Man the production & song writing on that album is so damn good. I checked out the Dead American record recently and there is definitely some cool stuff on there. It's also good to see that Cove and the other guys seem to be on good terms. I wish I grabbed one of those Saosin/Dead American shirts Cove was selling on his instagram a few months back. I would love to see Cove do something again with Saosin.
