caffiend
I just got in the last four Replacements re-issues that were done by Rhino, and for the life of me I just can not get into Pleased to Meet Me at all. I love all their other records to death, but I physically can not listen to this record [except for Alex Chilton] for some strange reason. Am I alone in this? j4m35
can't hardly wait is probably the best replacements song
jesse
Ahh, mine haven't come in yet. I already have Hootenany and Stink, and I wasn't expecting the rereleases for awhile. This is excellent news.
martyk36
I'm really not a big fan of "sorry ma...forgot to take out the trash" I love everything else though.
chiefwahoo
Been listening to Pleased to Meet Me a lot lately. I didn't realize (or forgot) how solid that whole album is. Alex Chilton, hell yes This was my comment on a different Replacements thread awhile back, so I guess I'm not with you on this one
lokithelion
Replacements released only one bad thing and that was a press release when they broke up.
jawbroken
haha true fact did they ever/are they going to release the reissues on vinyl?
kirbs84
Wow, I had no idea that Tim was re-issued on vinyl. For some strange reason I thought it was just on CD. Oh well, I got my copy for a good price. (less than $25 after shipping on ebay). Was/is Let It Be going to be re-issued?
casey
Pleased to Meet Me is kind of inconsistent, but there are some serious gems on there. Also, elusivedisc has the reissues for 17.99 and free shipping for first time customers. I thought the Replacements records were rereleased in chronological order, but I only see Tim and Pleased... on there. http://www.elusivedisc.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WBLP98995
xjustinxschwierx
can't hardly wait is probably the best replacements song especially the Tim version of the song from the All for Nothing Comp.
caffiend
I thought the Replacements records were rereleased in chronological order, but I only see Tim and Pleased... on there. http://www.elusivedisc.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WBLP98995 Only Tim and Pleased to Meet Me were re-released on vinyl I believe. And I consistently vote for Answering Machine as the best Replacements song. Definitely understand the love for Can't Hardly Wait, however. xjustinxschwierx
for me it switches between Can't Hardly Wait and Unsatisfied....pretty much on a daily basis.
kirbypuckett
I was listening to Tim this morning. I LOVE THIS BAND!
jesse
Elusive Disk pushed my preorder back to November. Rhino says they have "Tim" in stock. Has anyone bought "Tim" right from Rhino and can confirm this?
mattramone
can't hardly wait is probably the best replacements song Tim version pwns. There's a Sandwiches cover on the horizon.
mediocore
Is the band The Tim Version a reference to the 'Mats?
