311thrice
I traded with someone on the DF board. I shipped it USPS on the 17th and he still hasn't received it. Am I getting duped or could it really still be in the mail? I shipped it whatever the cheapest method was.
mattisr1984
well if you sent it media it can take awhile--up to 10 business days--sometimes longer. where do they live? i always recomend putting delivery confirmation on a package for a trade... or anything worth $$$
matt
media mail is slow and even more so this time of year. patience. next time use delivery confirmation its 75 cents and you can be worry free.

hootenanny
should have got a tracking number. its only like 75 cents. but i guess it possible. there was a lot of traffic for the usps because of the holidays. so i would give it a week. Did the other guy not send his yet. EDIT okay so these guys beat me to it.
311thrice
They live in VA. I should have gotten Delivery Confirmation. Ugh. Well if I counted right, I guess tomorrow would be the 10th business day. The guy said he would send his when he got mine in the mail. 311thrice
Well the consensus seem to be "Give it a week or so"..so that's what I'll do lol. Thanks guys!
benchwarmer
I shipped something media mail, it took 5 weeks.
reginaldbuxley
I shipped something media mail, it took 5 weeks. QFT But seriously, yeah, this is the worse time of year to expect something going media-mail to arrive "promptly". Shit, when I get stuff from a distro one state over, it takes like 5 weeks. ALL THE TIME! *kicks over some shit* WTF!
Guest nickman
not using delivery confirmation (on both sides of a trade) is kindof stupid, imo.
vinylme
I always use delivery confirmations. Media mail always takes at least 2-3 weeks from where I live.
eddieruckus
I sent something from Florida to Mass Media Mail on a friday and it got there the following monday, I thought that was incredibly quick for media mail

patron
So why did he want to get your package before he sent his? If someone asked me to do that I would have assumed scam right then and there...
311thrice
Fixed lol. Thank you for the bit of knowledge. Very interesting.
mcm1610
I was going to point the gypped thing out, but then I didn't. I thought that was a really neat tidbit of info when I first learned it.
cadetapplesauce
So why did he want to get your package before he sent his? If someone asked me to do that I would have assumed scam right then and there... it's trade etiquette that whoever contacts the person who has a record that they want send the records from their end of the trade first, as a way to check that the person who did the contacting isn't a deadbeat. did that makes sense? it kinda looks like i was talking in circles. Exactly. I contacted him first, so I sent first. He didn't have to ask me to send first, I was going to anyway.
