jayeffscene
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_do....urn=nba, 204978AI is retiring. Kind of a bummer to have him go out this way. Easily the most exciting player to watch back in the late 90's - early 00's. For sure. Best crossover in the game at that time.
zac
I'm sure most of you know by now but AI is back with the 76ers.

kurtz
I think it's great that he's back with the sixers. He should make them a little more fun to watch at least.
travis
haha Ron Artest use to drink Hennessy at half time when he was on the Bulls
Snaggle Von Swift
I'm sure most of you know by now but AI is back with the 76ers. I love the dude, i'll be at the game Monday night for his return.
zac
So the Nets won. I really like Courtney Lee and Rafer Alston, I was sad to see them leave the Magic. It sucks they went from a team in the finals to a 0-18 team. Anyway in about a week I'm going to a Mavricks-Bobcats game in Dallas. It should be fun. zac
And the Grizzlies beat the Mavericks by a pretty decent amount tonight. That's pretty awesome, they have a lot better of a team than their record lets on.

adammuzzy
do they even make the lakers play away games?
travis
Once in a while. They have a 5 game road trip coming up.
adammuzzy
i don't check every day, but i feel like every time i look at the lakers score from the day/night before, they were always home.
travis
Yea they have only had a few road games so far. They will just have more games on the road later in the season, I guess. I still cant believe that Miami game haha.
sgoodcore
I think its obvious the Suns can't play with the Lakers, at least not right now.
zac
So happy that Memphis beat the Cavs.
travis
I think its obvious the Suns can't play with the Lakers, at least not right now. Or ever. Seriously NO ONE in the West can hang with the Lakers. Id say if anyone in the West had a shot at the Lakers it would be Denver. The Celtics and Magic are the only teams that can hang with the Lakers right now. I dont think the Cavs can even hang with the Lakers. Well, maybe the Cavs. They arent the same team as they were last year tho. I think in the NBA right now its the Lakers, then the Celtics and then a pretty big gap and then all other teams. travis
haha The Lakers gave up 6 points to Utah in the 4th quarter last nite. Great game for 3 qtrs. then Utah just blew it and the Odom started showing off. Should be interesting game this weekend when the Lakers go to Utah to start a road trip. Utah is always really tough to beat at home.
travis
Just Kobe bein' Kobe I use to think LeBron was somewhat close to being as good as Kobe is but its pretty clear there is no one even in the same league with him and Im not saying that just because of the shot he hit tonite. He still amazes me almost every game by something he does. He must have really worked on shooting with his left hand in the off season cause he uses that little short runner with the left hand and short little hook shots with the left hand all the time now. You cant even force him to his left anymore.
adammuzzy
i do not understand how someone could look as hideous as pau gasol.
travis
I couldnt care less what he looks like as long as he is on the Lakers and plays like he does. He had a massive game last nite, I was suprised it was his first 20 pt./20 reb. game. I dont know that there is a better power forward in the game right now. Maybe Garnett? MAYBE
sgoodcore
Maybe Garnett if the Big Ticket was healthy but he's not so its definitely Pau or Duncan.
zac
I don't know, Garnett is killing it this year, he was shooting over 80% at one point a couple games ago and that wasn't just those little tip in type shots either that was also 10-15 foot jump shots while being contested. He's impressed me this season alot but I'm a Celtics fan.
adammuzzy
yeah, there was a lot of question about his health, but i think he's been super solid, and even better than previous years at like you said, the 10-15 ft fade away jumper. and what i love about the celtics is that they have absolutely no need for someone that averages 30 points or 15 rebounds a game because they can have 8 different players with double digit points. to me, i see a player having 40 points in a game, and that just means that the other players aren't confident and just get the ball to that player as much as they can, or that that player is selfish.
