j4m35
1. if i'm at home, make sure my pets/family are okay and make sure they can get out, if i'm at school make sure my roommates are okay 2. my laptop 3. external harddrive 4. journals with all my writing in them i dunno... all my records are arguably replaceable...it'd be one of the last things on my list to take
travis
this question took on a whole new meaning after i was evacuated this past weekend from the nearby fire. i pulled the most random records from my shelf before leaving. i still feel a little silly i took a little time doing this. just went through the crate to see what i actually took. the fact i took gaslight, lawrence arms, brand new, and death cab blows my mind. mind you i had like 15 minutes to get the fuck out. Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism Death Cab for Cutie - The Photo Album Death Cab for Cutie - We Have the Facts Death Cab for Cutie - Something About Airplanes - Blue Cursive - Domestica Cursive - Storms of Early Summer Cursive - Such Blinding stars Stay Gold - Pills and Advice - Gold Leeway - Born to Expire The Lawrence Arms - Oh Calcutta - Blue The Lawrence Arms - The Greatest Story Ever Told - Burgundy Blink 182 - Cheshire Cat Blink 182 - Dude Ranch No Warning - Ill Blood - Blood & Shit Saves the Day - Through Being Cool - White Saves the Day - Can't Slow Down - Red Brand New - Deja Entendu Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon - Blue Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun Sigur Ros - Takk The Gaslight Anthem - Sink or Swim - Black Jimmy Eat world - Clarity - Green Jimmy Eat World - Static Prevails Pennywise - About Time Pennywise - About Time - Test Press If you wanna get rid of either of those Blink records or that black SOS let me know

Guest kylewilliam
about 99% of my records are locked in a basement in toronto, ontario canada that is fireproof. of the very few [maybe 100?] records i have with me, id just take my baroness collection, which is already all together on the top shelf of my bedroom
daniel
Pretty sure I would worry about more important things than records if my house was burning down. Seriously.
keevhren
id definitely grab my laptop/external HD first, then an envelope full of pictures of family and friends I have and then id grab as many records as i could... bad religion and test pressings taking first priority... controlthebleeding
I'd take my jawbreaker collection (who is a box near my bed), my external, and that's it. My insurance would cover the rest.
mediocore
Assuming the wife and cats were already outside, I'd grab my NOFX, Lawrence Arms, and Archers of Loaf records (and probably a few random things) and my harddrive. I'd send Jose Canseco back in to retrieve my washer, dryer, and fridge.
funkykbs
none of them. my guitars would be in my hands

He certainly had it better than Ken Griffey Jr. taking the "nerve tonic"...god I love Simpsons seasons 3-9 "Mattingly! I said shave those sideburns!" aviolentworld
Pretty sure I would worry about more important things than records if my house was burning down. Seriously. I feel the same way. i dont know about this. anything else is either to big or damn heavy, like my drums or my tv. if i were to take any records i would grab my misfits, tla and saves the day - through being cool. anything else that my wife and i would need would be in the safe. if that gets fucked then im taking target to court. mediocore
I feel the same way. i dont know about this. anything else is either to big or damn heavy, like my drums or my tv. Exactly. Some of my records would be damn hard to find again, whereas something like a TV would be covered by my insurance.
enjoyadrian
im not sure if i would be quick enough to think "oh my records!", but if i had time, probably my cursive records.
xlovecolouredx
i put all my records in black 0.35x0.40x0.72 plastic box. it can't to take it by myself. maybe i let 'em go in their funeral....
afireinside86
I'd 100% carry my Sink or Swim on Black in one hand and my hardrive in the other. anyway, I'd grab my Olivia Tremor Control collection and get the hell out of my crib...... monk0nuggets
I'm honestly not sure what I would do. I'd definitely grab a few of my Park and Constants records and the tests. Then I'm not sure. Probably these if I had time to choose: Brand New - Your Favorite Weapon Converge - Jane Doe Isis Box Set I look at my list and think, I love them all. I couldn't part with any of them. That would be really rough to lose them. On top of that, I'd have to grab my print collection and my computer for pictures and such. Pretty much everything else is replaceable.
coryvc
I would extinguish the fire. or proceed to throw all valuables out the window, possibly leaving my bird.
