A couple people in my dorm mentioned they were going to a show, and when I said "really? they haven't put anything out that i like" they said "yeah but they're an amazing live band"They also like Reliant K and when you ask them what genre Reliant K is, they say "Christian." Subject matter = genre? Ever heard of straight edge? Pretty sure people view that genre exactly the same way, by lyrical content instead of music.
