crime
i got my copies of the let me run 7" and teenage bottlerocket/ergs under the influence this morning. both of which were shipped between two pieces of carboard taped together. what's up with that? i'd expect that from a 16 year kid on eBay but not you guys. luckily neither record were damaged. but the let me run sleeve is pretty messed up. i'm generally not one to complain about things. but that just seems fairly irresponsible to ship records like that. vittywatt
could water leak into the package? if not i don't see why using two pieces of thick cardboard is a problem. that's all a mailer is...two pieces of cardboard. am i missing something? Snaggle Von Swift
yeah, I don't mind the bubble mailers for 7" like someone above said, as long as they're between 2 pieces of cardboard (which mine always have been), its no different then a LP mailer really

rtw88
This really isn't a bad way to ship. I don't understand what you are bitching about. Do you not have any real problems? This is a safe way to ship 7"s which is why they showed up undamaged, as illogical as this may seem.
matt
more often than not this is how 7"s are shipped.
travis
I got my Let Me Run and TB/Ergs 7" like this and had no problems with them. They arrived just fine. A lot of distros do this for 7". Its cheaper than cardboard mailers and works just fine for the most part.
jhulud
I ordered two sets of the Ergs/TB UTI 7" and they came in two thin cardboard 7" mailers. They were taped together. Arrived safe and sound.
jhulud
Also...people need to get it through their heads that no matter how careful a seller, label, distro, or whatever packs a record...once it's out the door and in hands of the shipper (USPS, UPS, FedEx, Pony Express, etc.), it's pretty much a game of chance. If the package gets all kinds of mangled and fucked up, it was in transit. It's ludicrouds to blame the person(s) that sent the record out. I'm currently talking with a label that sent out a big mailorder to me and the box was crappy and old to start with. They packed it poorly and prepared the box even more poorly for shipment, so by the time it got to Chicago it was ripped open and 3 of the 4 corners were blown out. It was so bad the post office lady yelled at me for 5 minutes about how badly it was shipped, like it was my fault.
lechevre
What about that one guy i think on the board who had his 7" mailed in a pizza box. Used at that!

I was thinking if it was a VC issue they would give some more details. I would hope any company uses the internet and Google alerts to see what people are saying about them...but I guess we don't all live in 2.0 world. andrew13
mine came in a bubble mailer with cardboard. perfect shape. actually better than normal... there wasn't a single ding on any of the covers. also there was a clear red TBR/Ergs coaster. cool. xxmartinxx
This is actually a really good and reliable way to ship out 7"s. I've been doing it this way for 10 years and have never had a single broken record.
aeast317
yeah i'm gonna agree with everyone else and say this is a perfectly fine way. what would you have preffered a cardboard mailer? theres really no difference..
rtw88
Clearly we are all 16 year old kids on ebay.
