I have got some pretty good deals in the past. nickbuysvinyl Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 i actually went in yesterday (my gf was looking for a book) and i ventured over and they had 5 or 6 copies of MFATGG - Cash for 5 bucks a piece. needless to say, i now own a copy. But i've actually gotten some good deals there. I used to have to buy all my records from there (no credit card for mailorder, no other decent stores around), so i still go in from time to time to see what they have. I know which ones sell vinyl and which ones dont, so i avoid the ones that dont. I'm actually going back this weekend to pick up Head Automatica - Popaganda and Sage Francis - Human the Death Dance, both on clearance. scottheisel Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 -I've found a number of import 7" singles that just sit there forever and ever and continually get marked down to the point where they're literally a dollar or two from bands like Jimmy Eat World. -My girlfriend found Social Distortion's Sex, Love And Rock & Roll LP for $7.99 on clearance and got it for me -- this was back in September. -I tipped amsterdamned off to Head Automatica's Popaganda 2xLP which was marked down to $6 -- this was maybe 2 months ago? They get in a few random picturediscs and that's it, though for some reason they have had 3 copies of Panic At The Disco's album there for $6 for a while. There's another HT in another nearby city, but they don't carry much. I did get an And Out Come The Wolves picturedisc for like $4 there once though.
