travis
my promo copy of the LP and the CD showed up today and I must say this is a pretty amazing package. Its kinda expensive but its pretty bad ass. Cant wait to go home and spin this.
manicdogbert
yeah, too bad the deluxe package is $
dante3000
What what an epic rip off. You can get the vinyl and the shirt for $48, add the CD for $14 and that's $62 (and they come with a direct download), so you're paying basically $70 for this 1'x8' poster? Seriously, if you're gonna make a deluxe package, make it worth the money.
vinylme
If I had any money I'd probably buy the vinyl version only because it comes with the poster they just call it an 8 page foldout and i would probably pick up the anthology boxset thats on sale right now in their store. I believe that the "8 panel fold out" is referring to the gatefold cover and not the poster. Just like the original pressing.
xxmartinxx
Ugh.. this sucks. I just bought the Euro press of this recently.
AlexH.
Is this 1 LP? Because it's 53:03. How does the original sound?
manicdogbert
the reissue is most likely a double LP
xxmartinxx
This should be on two 12"s, but the I assume they kept it as only one.
manicdogbert
the Grand Royal reissue from 1999 was a double LP so it's possible this reissue is a double.
travis
This is a single 180 gram LP
manicdogbert
that's a shame. 25+ minutes on each side? this will probably sound like crap then. i'm glad i got the Grand Royal reissue then.
mrc
im fucking tired of over priced represses.
manicdogbert
Insound has this for pre-order for $22. if this was a double LP 180g with the 8 panel gatefold, it would totally be worth it. but for a single LP, that's kinda pushing it. davehoffa
Weird that the OG was a single LP, every reissue since has been on two, and now this is on one LP again. Huh?
travis
This thing is a 4 panel gatefold. I have it right here next to me. Not sure where it says 8 panel but thats wrong. Unless 4 panels printed on both sides means 8 panel. The CD reissue is the same but its got an O-card around it.
manicdogbert
8 panel = 4 panel (both sides)
wannabepunktony
Insound has this for pre-order for $22. if this was a double LP 180g with the 8 panel gatefold, it would totally be worth it. but for a single LP, that's kinda pushing it. The MSRP is $24 so I'd imagine that $22 is going to be on the high end once stores actually start getting this in.
oakland
One of the best records of all time. Wish I had the $ for this right now. It's the only release by the Bs I don't own on vinyl.
mattstrike
The original pressing sounds relatively good. Kickin' right now...
